This guy is great. Not only can he cook but he has some hands on knowledge on how to repair boat mechanic issues. Oh yeah and he can flat out fish too!!

thank you for the support!
Jaw puller is a must to get that wheel off quickly. A few turns and they pop right off. Gotta do it the hard way though haha. Appreciate the videos, they've saved me a few times! Thanks

Easy enough to do, thanks for DIY. Little tip from a mechanics POV buy yourself a bronze/brass hammer. You’ll be less likely to damage any nut or stud while hitting it.

Thanks for sharing. I need to replace my seal too on my Ranger but to be honest...probably will use a steering wheel puller from Autozone if needed.

There is something called a steering wheel pulled and cost less then 20.00 Dollars at Auto Zone, all that pounding and heat are not a recommender practice on these helms they have lots of sensitive parts on the inside as I have replace all the o-rings in the unit. Not using the Steering wheel Puller Made the job Harder then it should of been. But it was nice he made the Video so everyone can see just how easy it is to replace the Helm out O-ring and save $400.00 having a shop do the work. I just bought a kit for $14.00 and had it installed in 15 minutes. But I knew what I needed 1- 5/16 socket Phillips Screwdriver, Steering wheel Puller Grease or ANti Seiz to put on the shift to make it easier to take the steering wheel off next time and a INCH LB TORQUE WRENCH FOR Tightening the shaft nut to 150 in. Lb.

This would be great addition to your channel, boat mechanics should be covered more. You can't just park it and walk home...

Hi looks like your in Florida. Oh I got the same leak. Think Ill try some Break Free oil over night and maybe a bearing puller in the wheel. Hey could you please tell me the Part number of that little rebuild bag. Thank

Useful video on a topic the manual completely ignores. Just watch your audio levels next time. Every time the music came on the voice audio went 10 feet underwater.

Thank you. Took a while for me to figure that all out
Need to work on the volume and why have music to drowned out instructions and stabilize the boat to stop the shaking that make it annoying to watch !!!

Never do this. Buy a cheap wheel puller at harbor freight and the steering wheel will pop right off
