Nothing better than pulling through those really tall fence gates after paying a few thou, meeting up with the guys, drinking garbage Budweiser, just to know that you will get a deer for sure. The smell of late autumn/early winter and deer so tame you can pet them. Now that is real hunting.

Man its crazy to see how hunters from other states are able to choose the deer they want to shoot,Here in Southern California I see a small 2x2 at 500+ yds and I take the shot because I dont ge to see them too often and they dont get too big in our area. Deer season here opens uo tomorrow by the way,Brothers please Pray for me and wish me good luck,I hope I can get my very very first buck this year,I've been hunting since a was a kind in Mexico with a small 22 and a black powder rifle,Today I use a 30 06 but I've never got a deer,I am 25 and I keep trying to get one every year.

The reason for the large bucks is management. Most people are like you and anything with a rack is on their target list. When everyone does this like you there are very few mature bucks. If people would let small deer walk and harvest only large bucks then you grow bigger bucks. I know your state doesn’t produce many trophy deer. Do your part and learn about management then educate others. Also you can hunt out of state.

Very nice indeed! I just placed my very first shotgun(s) on layaway yesterday. A Mossberg 500 combo and a Savage Stevens. The deer here in Florida are the size of Chihuahua. However, in my mid-forties I have never bagged a deer yet. I hope to hunt at least one here before moving to Alaska to hunt the true big game. Thanks for posting the video. My adrenaline was pumping just watching in anticipation! Godspeed!

How did Alaska work out? 95% of people who move there for hunting either die or leave in the first year. It's the cold mostly, but the Kodiak Bear is also a factor for a lot of deaths. I was told this statistic by an Alaskan who was born there when I was trying to buy a hunting cabin. I decided not to. Not worth the risk.

Time is money 6500 is 2000$ to much for me but 5 days and you are covered in Trophies. 6500 is what you'd pay 8n taxes to own a good chunk of woods might as well just go to where it's all set up and done right.

Honestly, I got through half of the video and moved on. It's hard to stomach watching guys "hunt" on a managed property that is crawling with deer. No "normal" hunt offers a man "eenie, meenie, miney, moe...which buck do I shoot?" Sorry. I'd rather watch the Hunting Public or Seek One. At least those guys actually hunt deer.

I am all for deer management, and passing on the young bucks in order to let them mature for the following years. At the same time though, having a set of rules, which you constantly think about and second guess your own judgment, and pass on monster bucks because you don't want to be "that guy" that shot a deer deemed to small. Took the fun out of the hunt.

Their sandbox their rules. Hunting on a ranch with a 150 minimum you know if you kill one it’s going to be a monster. I’d definitely do it given the chance but you can’t be as proud of hunting a managed ranch as opposed to a private farm or national forest.

Don't say you wouldn't . If you could afford it I'm all about hunter's ethics as well. And I don't believe in shooting a deer in a high fence area absolutely not I don't agree with that at all but a well-managed ranch that's not high fence if I had the money I definitely do it at least once in my life.

@@DoesUrBeanHang Not everybody has the luxury of hunting in a property like this, most people hunt where there are a lot of neighboring hunters around the same forest so you can't control their actions and therefore what's left is pressured deer which are much much harder to hunt than the deers in this video. I love to see these guys hunt in my area, it will be amusing.

TD Outdoors 100 yds or less, it puts a hell of a whop on them. Also makes a nice big hole to bleed out, but not so much hydrostatic shock and bruising of meat as a rifle. I wouldn't use one beyond 100yds, and only for heavy forest. This show was during a "shotgun season" anyway, so mute point.
