Rachel's story gave me some much needed comfort... I lost my dad to heart disease 10 years ago, I was 13! Long before I was even properly introduced to James & Oliver... And at times, I felt hopeless, lost, scared and pretty much that nothing's good left on this world anymore... But like Rachel said so beautifully, grieve is a special thing... It helps you to remember that the love you had for your loved one and will always have... Being a potterhead, I would quote - "the ones that love us never really leave us .. you can always find them in here ❤️" So yes, there's still not a day where I don't miss my baba but I have managed to cope with time... He'll forever be alive inside me... ❤️ James & Oliver is a gift in my life to the truest sense and this podcast helped me in ways that I never expected it to be... So thank you guys for being the light in my life since past 3 years... You really shaped me for better & made this world a little less lonely! 💗

I can relate to Rachel history , because I also lost my dad from cancer in 2018, I was 20 and i was suffering from anxiety and I had panic attacks, because of that situation. With the passing of the years, until now is really hard understand why that happened. Thank u guys because this podcast help me a lot to find that comfort place every weekend 🤍🤍🥺 . I learned a lot and also practice my english haha, thank you again Ollie and James ❤️❤️

This brought me a lot of comfort. I've been abused by my dad and my mum never really dared to defend us because he was very agressive. She divorced him but I was only 10 so I still had to go to my father since "we had no proof". He met my stepmother and then we didn't matter at all anymore. She too started hitting us and my mum couldn't do anything because we has no psyical proof. Until I was 14 he pushed me against the door and my shoulder was bruised, the print of her hand was in my arm and she threw me out the house because I defended my brother. My father dragged me back in the house but the next day I had to go to my mother. Since i had proof this time we went to the police with this.They decided my brother and I had to stay at my mums. I still get scared when someone raises a hand even if it's just for a highfive. I did thing about taking my own life whenever I was at dads if it wasn't for you guys. My brother always sneaked a phone with him from at mums so I could watch your podcast in the night. I rewatched sometimes a few or I watched Harry Potter because I' m a big fan of you guys. Olivers ranting always makes me laugh and I smile automatically when I hear james saying "Did you know". I've been a fan of yours for 8 years now and this podcast is my comfort. Whenever I have a bad day I watch or listen to it. I guess what I'm trying to say is: Thank you for being here and making this amazing podcast. It would mean a lot if you would read it and maybe react. Anyhow I just wanted to share this because I've always been afraid to talk about this. Thanks again for being my comfort people. Rachel, your story touched me a lot. Both my parents passed away recently. First my Mom suddenly and 2 years later my Dad (the disease overwhelmed him in a month's time). It was just before COVID. The first time, I stood firm for my father. Whend he died in turn, I collapsed, I felt like an orphan. It's better now. I can think of them smiling, but I miss them every day. What pains me the most it that they will not see my children grow up. There are so many moments that I would have liked and I would like to share with them. You were so young when your lost your Mom, it's really tough. I promise you you'lle get better even if the pain remains. Your Mom is watching over you and will always be in your heart. Thank you for sharing. (and sorry for my english mistakes)
