I have a Mansory, it is a good reel for the price.... try the Seaknight Falcan 3, is much better for light lures and has better brakes. Thank you for sharing .

I’ll have to take a look at that one. The last few Seaknights I’ve had didn’t do that good for me. Mostly with line skipping the sides of the spool and going into the side plates.

I've been eyeballing that one too. I see they have the hybrid ceramic bearings, would it work for your typical bass lures like chatter baits and such?

Hey, I'm from Brazil and I have Seasir Repeater & Mansory. I use them to fish peacock bass here (up to 6lb) and this brand really very cheap tough very nice quality equipment. I normally use 5ft 6 or 6ft rods!

Yeah I think mine was cross threaded and messed up the threads but it’s a great reel!

Try removing the o ring and see if this is the cause of the knob tightness . Put knob back on without o ring and see if it is looser or if threads are damaged. If the o ring is the cause you can do one of two things , add a little silicone grease to reduce o ring friction or go to a smaller or lower thickness o ring which will also reduce the knob binding.

Did you catch anything after the melt?

I kove a metal framed reel there just way more premium and durable. They also tend to last a bit longer. I have a shimano bantam sx10 thats 30 years old and its still going strong. I really wanna know if that megacuda is just as good, and how lower weight it can it cast 👍. I really thought the mansory would have been better. I think the cast x got a update to cast xz.

I’m taking the swim bait reels out soon as this weather passes. I’ll test how they do on lower weight though heavy weights. I haven’t seen if the cast-x had an upgrade but it seems like they’re clearing out all the older ones I think they are 17$ right now

Also I would recommend you ask Seasir for a partial refund, to me that is unacceptable even on a cheap reel. Even more the reason they could send you a whole new one or the Spool tension cap if that is the part that is stripped, if it is the reel body they should send you a new reel as it would be cheap as hell for them......
