In this video we talk through a recent search we undertook to locate a missing dog using the DJI Mavic 3T.
Unfortunately, as we landed to swap batteries, the weather changed and we had to call the search off for the day but were super impressed with the Mavic 3Ts performance.

Interesting that in colder climes you can use the thermal during the day. Here in Queensland Australia, we need to fly just before dawn before the sun heats up the habitat - so no side by side screen comparisons. We can GPS pinpoint the target wildlife in the dark then return in daylight to confirm the thermal sighting with a telephoto image. Great video with an important final message ...
Truly amazing drone capability! Most other drones have a measly 8x zoom and if it is digital, it is pixelated! Thanks for sharing.

Shows how valuable thermal imagery is for finding lost dogs. Makes me wonder if it's even possible to find one without it when you see how dense the trees and hedges are from above...

how long have you been using this thermal drone, curious how long it takes to learn it all , you are so on each item , no hit and miss , just straight to item , zoom in , live the black white, thermal, with the split screen ❤

About 18 months or so, it all comes with practice but it’s such a user friendly drone!
I did the same thing with my Mini 3 Pro, and found her in a neighbor's backyard.

Im sure you have had this asked on other videos but couldn't locate it... but what package for the Mavic 3 did you buy to get the thermal?
Have you made any changes on the ir camera setting or is it stock ?

Completly stock from DJI in both settings and functionality
How does it do the heat source camera ? Is that built into that drone ?

The Mavic 3T has an inbuilt infrared sensor
Eventually i want to get something like this just for this reason to help try to find l lost dogs with the local shelter
I thought the T3 was after resistant?

no, the Matrice 30T is fully weather resistant, the Mavic 3T is not.
