Hi guys! Sorry I'm late to the party! I saw three ares that could have been buildings or homes where you were walking but the thing that really caught my eye was the slab of something I could only see a few glances of when you were walking through the homeless camp. Many who were buried in the Civil War campsite areas around the state have been exhumed and taken to more formal burial grounds where their loved ones could find them. However, these areas often had a stone or memorial plaque placed in their honor at the original burial sites. There could have been a sentry post there to guard the railroad if those tracks are in the original area where the train would've come through back then so it also makes sense that soldiers could have camped there for a while. I think your emailer did find something. Go back better equipped next time. Thanks for a great video!

That was great!! Still laughing. I have been there trying to figure out which way that lake was they said was in the Mt. St. Helens tree line before the big blow. Then 2 things happened we startled elk bedding down sounded like elephants running through the brush . Then the fun part 3 jet roaring out of the dead quiet from the Air Force Base. Fun times.

Oh my goodness we so enjoyed watching you all for the grave yard and getting poor Robert lost (Ha Ha) he needs his own compass. When you finally came out of the wooded area to where the shopping center was, we laughed. Hopefully you all will be able to find this grave yard. Be careful if you ask grandpa for advice he might tell you to research it a little more before you go. Glad that Robert did not hurt himself when he slid down the path.

Hello!

I wonder if taking a metal detector out to that area might help find some war artifacts. Either army of that time would have bivouacked with tents and maybe wood lean-tos. Any graves would have been marked with wood if possible. I wonder if the memories of your tipster were related to ancestor memories. Keep us informed. Maybe, being as how the graves would have been Confederate, another cemetery was attached to the site in later years.

You guys need to come to Roanoke, Virginia and check out the old cemetery that is down in the woods.. The graves are all from the 1800s.. The last time I was down there was nearly 30 years ago, but I was in pretty good condition back then.. It is surrounded by a rock wall with wrought iron top.. You guys should come and check it out.. It is abandoned and no one is taking care of it.. Message me back and we can exchange emails and I can tell you more about it..

Find someone into search and rescue and see if they will bring out a cadaver dog. Good training for the dog and they can find old barrel ground or cemeteries.
