I would go for one of the two bedroom homes. Even though you’ll have family and friends over, mind your expenses! They can stay in a close by Airbnb. Also make sure it’s close to the school. Make plans to quickly build your own house by getting a duly registered land in Accra. Renting a house and paying killer prices is not worth it . Live like a normal Ghanaian or else your resources would soon be depleted. You will be drained financially, Ghana can be really expensive. But with careful planning and wise spending it’s a good and lovely place to be . You can move to a not so expensive vicinity and start from there . Hope you get it 😉😉

You ended up renting house number 5 which is the big house you did a property tour of when you moved out? People in the comment section gave you really good advise. There is only 4 of you and your kids are small. It’s good you ended up downsizing in the long run though. It will help you get to your long term goal quicker.

I think you should avoid this kind of shatta wale type areas. All they are going to do is try to suck up your money even more because they know you are from abroad. And they quote “ridiculous prices like US$500,000 to 1 mill. I think the best option is go for the outskirts of Accra so you can save your money to do more efficient thing and Ghana , then to put it in overpriced concrete building.
