I swear, Sean always said he’s felt like the champion in every interview. He said nothing has changed after winning the belt. Brett’s first question is “does this feel normal?” 💀

MMA is full of nothing burger reporters, partly because Dana and UFC don't let anyone ask anything controversial by banning anyone that does from media day for PPVs(which is why their questions are so boring and predictable)but MMA reporters are so horrible at interviewing, they have nothing to ask and they think sitting down and chat is somehow a good interview, they're so horrible at this

Take a look at the fighters body language and energy when they’re conversing with someone like DC or Dom Cruz. When someone is able to bring a high level of understanding/respect the fighters open up more and are more excited to take part in said conversation. I like natural fluid conversations not robotic Brett interviews. I understand if you guys like the boring interview style asking the same boring questions fight card after fight card but personally I like the buddy buddy natural feel.

crazy how much ufc fans seems so occupied with fighter's personal lives. hardly anyone talking about fighting skill, and sean is one of the most high level, exciting strikers we've ever seen. plus if you listen to his podcasts etc he's much more comfortable and himself and very likeable. he has admitted he gets nervous during press conferences / interviews, most of you hating on him would crumble if they had to do 99% of the things sean does daily.

This is a good match up. Chito is as durable as they come and should be able to push Sean into the championship rounds if not to the final bell. Sean's toughness will have to be on display again like he showed in the Petr Yan fight. Sean better be ready and prepared to do 25 minutes or else he might drop that belt for awhile.

If you’re trying to sit here and say there’s no way this thing ends early you’re out of your mind. Yes, it very likely could go five rounds but these guys both have power to KO somebody. There’s a very good chance. This could end early…. everything I just said is common sense as well.

@@josiffexplosiff1 both guys could end it early, but it's unlikely. I feel like Sean has more power but cant take the same punishment Chito can, and on the flip side Chito has less power then Sean so Sean shouldn't need to have the same ablitilty to take a shot as Chito to survive till the final bell. UD Sean O'Malley 48-47 across-the-board.

Merab was already #1 contender before Sean won the belt, so that was the no-brainer fight to make in a fair world. Instead they made Merab fight Cejudo for no reason weeks before this Chito fight to keep him away from Sean, it's embarrassing how hard they're protecting this kid.

Dana booked the fight for to extend Sean's title reign, simple is that. Winnable fight for him. Merab is literally boogeyman of the division. He also pushed aljo to fight 2-3 months later after his title defence to fight against Sean. It's not easy to become a champ but this was the easiest way and Dana helped him a lot. Because he might be the draw in the near future which I think he wont.
