As a former Delta flight attendant, they transport criminals on all air carriers. They put them with law officials, on the last row of the plane in handcuffs. They board them first and they are the last ones off the plane.

Lol that's the movie. They are flown on regular airlines unless there is a specific issue, concern for the specific prisoner then they may be flown private.

When they extradite you they very often will take you on a regular commercial with in plain clothing and concealed handcuffs, board you first, sit you in the last row with the plain clothed officer who is transporting you. The prisoner & officer will of course get off the plane last. The idea is to of course have it be as un-obvious/inconspicuous as possible that this is happening. Not every airline transports prisoners. Last I knew spirit does NOT transport prisoners on commercial flights BUT YES *DELTA* indeed does!

Kempire, whenever I see an inmate being transferred in the airport. It’s usually a person with a guard on each side. They are normally handcuffed sometimes in a chair. They have a jacket over their hands to hide the cuffs and make it less obvious. They usually get to board the plane first. They normally sit in the very back of the plane, right in front of the RR. Law enforcement tries to be discreet.

Lots of times they drive state to state in cop car/wagon. And, it's a cost to do it. I have seen them fly as well.
