It appears Mr. Combs broke his silence after the raids into his properties. He must have been following legal advice; if so, what changed? Video evidence, perhaps? I doubt that would have been sufficient for him to make a public confession. He probably did it because the video evidence was damning, but, more importantly, he knew that he could no longer be criminally liable for what the video showed because the statute of limitations had run out. Unfortunately, this confession, with the video, might come back to haunt him in a future criminal prosecution. One wonders if his lawyers consulted him about that possibility or if he pulled a Donald Trump and overlooked legal advice.🤷🏾‍♂
