After watching Sharpe I started reading Gaunt's Ghosts and I was like "Hmm...this is...FAMILIAR."

Love it! I have the Sharpe soundtrack on CD still. Favourite part in Lord of the Rings when Bean says “it’s still sharp”

I binge read like 10 of these books and was a hair away from buying a replica muzzle loading baker rifle a few years ago 😂😂😂

So, as a Yank, I was late to the Sharpe series, but I watched it twice during COVID lockdown... I need these minis even if they do nothing but sit and look amazing

At last Ollie has found models I could really go for, as I was and am a big fan of Sharpe and his cohorts, swash buckling across Spain and France, beating the Froggies to within an inch of their lives. Marvellous stuff!!

I've been thinking that Sharpe's Honour would be an amazing scenario to play out with some decent terrain. That episode in particular just has such a RPG + wargaming feel to it.

Oh man, I found clips of Sharpes adventures on KZread and was hooked. It's a bit of a pain that it isn't streaming anywhere and trying to find the whole series on DVD can get expensive in the states. Thanks for making this video, it's super cool to see them in miniature format!

Great video as always! I started reading Gaunt’s Ghosts which gave me that itch to start binge-watching Sharpe again! Like you I’ve got fond childhood memories of watching it! Was trying to kitbash a Boromir head onto a Commissar but after stumbling across these models I might just paint my first set of Napoleonics!

I remember when watching LotR Fellowship of the Ring for the first time when he charges out in the forest (where he dies) sword drawn hearing in my head him scream 'Chosen Men!'

Have been watching a Sharp episode/film each week and this weekend is 'Sharpe's Sword'. Must pick up this box of minis to make my own King's Rifles.

Absolutely loved Sharpe. I really like your channel but I only heard about this from your interview with the Painting Phase. The KZread algorithm clearly isn't a Sharpe fan!

The biggest accomplishment in this video is the fact that your Yorkshire accent wasn't actually half bad for a southerner.

Loved this show since I first watched it too, hearing the old theme got me feeling all nostalgic for it. Great job with the models they turned out really well!

Great video! I've been thinking about doing Napoleonic skirmish using Song of Drums and Shakos by Ganesha, but never got around to due to lack of suitable Sharpe miniatures. This box looks very nice.

Sharpe is available on amazon but you have to purchase each series. Such a great show! Loved rewatching it, these models are lovely as well.

Wow! Fond memories of watching the show with my father and reading the books with my brother :) I’ll definitely be picking up this kit - I’ll use the leftovers for the Sludge game.

The Sharpe series is on ITVX at the moment. I'm working my way through the series at the moment. I decided to buy some Perry Miniature Napoleonics and found this video for painting guides.

Book Sharpe was a londoner but Cornwall rewrote him as a Yorkshire lad to match Sean... Drama is a nice reliable channel at the weekends, generally if Sharpe isn't on then hornblower will be.

Awesome. I haven’t watched a ton of this show but I’m big fans of what it inspired. Gaunt’s Ghost and His Majesty’s Dragon series’s. I always wanted to do something like this for the latter.

What's the best paint for a bit of Sheffield steel, eh Lieutenant?

Fun stuff, perhaps a few villains might be in order? Col. Girdwood, or some frog officers and line troops to skirmish against? Grew up in the US but with some Anglo-phile tendencies, played rugby instead of American football, bbc when we could get it etc. learned about Sharpe but couldn’t get into it as a kid (too much romance not enough battle then). Happily they are much more engaging episodes now. I found them on iTunes. But with some digging occasionally you might find full episodes online. (URL withheld so algorithms can’t go looking and the videos live a little longer).

This is a great kit. I have made mine. Have created the characters like you and even did a head swap and a bit of green stuff to make Sweet William of the KGL.

I had to say that WA was very keen to made some figures for this TV serie in this boxed set, only I'm afraid that Sharpe's right arm angle is a bit innatural, perhaps a little filing would've adjusted it. In general are really beautiful minis, the details with this plastic sets are great!👍😁

Great Video!! I've always enjoyed Sharpe and good soldiering! I strictly paint and play napoleonics in 1/72nd scale but those figures are a big temptation. If you want some Napoleonic rules you can try Black Powder from warlord games. Its not a skirmish game but it's 28 mm so you can play with Sharpe, Harper, Harris, Hangman and Perkins. I don't know if you already watched it or not but there are some more recent episodes with Toby Stephens! I do recommend them as well!!

I found this series by total fluke like 10 years ago. I watch it through yearly. Awesome series. I also painted Warhammer when i was younger so this video and minatures are fantastic.

Although only in it for a few episodes, you have to hand it to Pete Postlethwaite in his portrail of Obadiah Hakeswill. To this day I cannot say I have hated a villain as much as him lol.

Great video Ollie, I’m planning a similar project after rewatching the Sharpe series. Wish I had know that war games Atlantic had a kit I could use to make the Chosen Men. Ended up ordering white metal minis from a US company. Might I pick up the war games Atlantic models some time to compare the sculpts. I was planning on using them in Dragon Rampant for scenario games like Sharpe Vs the Zombie hoard

@@BroadswordWargaming Ross in the Sligo Board gaming club introduced me to Ospreys Dragon Rampant. It’s a good little system, easy to learn and very flexible that lets your play a wargame with why ever models you have on hand.

Thanks for the vid! I've always wanted to watch that show! If you have amazon prime and can pay an extra $8/month (I think) you can add brit box and watch it!

Can use them easily with Pulp Alley or Song of Drums & Shakos. Small scale games.
