Best known for his role as Detective Kevin Ryan on the television crime drama Castle, Seamus Dever honed his craft and built his confidence at NAU, earning a bachelor’s degree in Theatre in 1997. He completed his graduate studies at Moscow Art College, and then Carnegie-Mellon University, earning MFAs in acting from both schools. Initially a stage actor, Mr. Dever started venturing into film and TV roles in the late '90s with roles in NCIS, The Rookie, and Mad Men. A lifetime member of the Actors Studio, Mr. Dever maintains a strong relationship with NAU, regularly mentoring students, hosting alumni workshops, and serving on the College of Arts and Letters Advisory Boardy. He supports theatre students through the NAU Foundation.
