Subnautica is definately on the better end of survival games, its beautiful, easy to follow and holds your hand to save you save yourself. It has just the right amount of letting you go nuts, to holding your hand.

The Sea Moth has been a sea and space vehicle for as long as I’ve been playing. At one point I attached a floater to a peeper just purely by accident, it was the funniest thing.

7:35 as soon as I found Subnautica for the very first time years ago, I fell in love with the game even though I have a fear of the deep ocean. I would recommend Subnautica to anyone. This game is worth at least one play through.

I have just seen subnautica and i bought it and im playing it rn!

this is the game that got me into gaming. i love it more than any other. also they did a little update and you can pin your recipes like in below zero and you can now make the large rooms too. can't wait to see more please do some building in this playthrough i do like seeing those too love your vids. feel better soon

Subnautica is definitely one of the better survival games. It can depend on what you want exactly, but it is way up there.

Build your scanner room when you can above the water for a moment when you get the repulser cannon (the yellow one) then shot at them and watch them fly have fun(:

Don't forget the moonpool, to charge the Seamoth, parts for which are in the mushroom forest. :)

ARK and SUBNAUTICA are definitely the best survival games out there.

The air bladder used to be meh at best, almost as fast as the sea glide. In keeping with BZ, it has been VASTLY improved

Subnautica is one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. The feeling I had after completing it for the first time, was pure awe. The scares, the story, the visuals, The sea life, the questing, the building, It is all there. It was just incredible. I am so looking forward to Subnautica 3. Z! Floaters are a parasite you just doomed that poor reefback. and they never fly out of water just float to top and die cause they can no longer reach food. BAD Z~ Shame on you. =P

The Long Dark is the best survival game!

That mod with the gargantuan leviathan, return of the ancient’s, I would LOVE to see that as a play through.

I stuck some floaters to a stalker who was harassing me. He floated up to the surface and remained half in the water and half underwater. Every time I went past him, I cackled like a crazy person.

when you asked if subnautica was the defacto survival game, I said of course not! I then started scanning through my steam library to tell you exactly what it was, and I got nothing. I think your right, Subnautica would probably be the one survival I would recommend that doesn't have some sort of reason to not recommend.

Subnautica is my go to survival game for recommendations. On a small twist subnautic is how I found your channel and your channel is how I found more games to play.

There are quite a few survival games that I really like: Subnautica, Dread Island 2 - the remake, and Planet Crafter. I think it’s called Dread Island 2; it’s the zombie survival game that released within the past year. It’s strange that I like it, cause I have a fear of zombies. Anyway, I look forward to Honeycomb. Frozen District’s upcoming game. It looks like Planet Crafter but cleaner and prettier.

Yes subnautica is a would recommend survival game

time to get some base going. need a charging station for batteries and the Moon Pool to dock and charge the seamoth of course = storage is your friend, need places to put all your loot.

Subnautica is a great survival game but my personal favorite is The Forest. Is very focused on survival, you dont have to follow the story unless you want to, there is a benefit from following the story(rewards) and you cant handmake anything like a gun or vehicle. While subnautica does have the fabricator which makes sense to be able to craft machines made from metal, I personally feel more like Im surviving and just barley making it out when Im limited to crafting out of sticks and stones. To me The Forest has a more "just barley surviving" feel then subnautica, especially when you get to the cyclops.

2:40 Subnautica is a water world. You can actually see the whole world when you take off in the Neptune Rocket at the end.

I would love to see the gargantuan mod and I think for survival games Subnautica is the best as no matter how many times I play I feel I always find something new or build my base differently

Minecraft and Subnautica are basically the same thing just different environments. And yet both are good games to play for one's survival game fix. Much love Z1 and have a sub.

subnautica would be the game that i would recommend as one of the best story/survival driven games of all time.

life would be easier if you make bleach then make the larger water bottle. also in the list of available items you can thumb nail the item you are working on and it will show up on your screen the items you need. Thanks for playing the game again, you are correct this is the best survival game.

The upcoming game Grand Empress may be a contender for defacto survival game. If it lives up to the trailer it will be amazing. The demo comes out on the 7th. For existing games Planet Crafter is in the running for sure. If the development continues it will be a great survival game. For current completed games I think Subnautica is probably the best.

I've struggled with Subnautica and have been considering giving it another try, hence watching your videos but my default survival game now is Subsistence followed by Planet Crafter. I've also been enjoying the game Forever Skies too. I love my survival games.

I did too, at first. then finally played it through, and it is one of the best games I have ever played. but I refused to watch any play though past where I had stopped playing, to make sure it would be blind for me. If you are struggling to get blueprints/Materials use the scanner room. and get the hud chip. then just place it at all the pod/debree sites and you will get all the things.

IIRC 20 or so floaters will immobilize the leviathans. You have to stick them to the head, though ...

the player just gives a thumbs up to the deposit and it just evaporates.

Minecraft is what you make of it. For me it’s survival bc I suck at the game. 😂 For my friends is definitely a sandbox game

I like green heck its a realistic survival game cuts/leeches and more if you look around itll give you insight to which food does what and whether its actually edible or not

The only thing in the game that is random is where the resources spawn, but they can be usually found in the same general areas.

Don’t know if it counts but I consider 7Days to be the best survival game. In that game it doesn’t get easier the more u build it’s almost like ur not building fast enough. Thou I admit grinding is simpler

The main problem with dual use of the seamoth is in space it must withstand zero outside pressure vs high inside pressure and under water it is obviously the other way around. And at least in the real world materials have either tensile or compressive strength

5:14 while technically you are right it does take a certain depth for the bends to actually be a problem, unfortunately, the bends would start at about 3M/ 9 to 10 ft, so the air bladder would be a death sentence in real life

Then that means that the Deathrun mod is relatively forgiving in that regard where it starts to be a problem at 10m.

Well seamoth... Water and a night instect. Think lunar moth.. maybe they used for both space and water.. but can't launch or have enough thrust to travel to far

Is it a water world? Yes, canonically the planet is mostly waterbound. (More than earth's 2/3 ratio, but I forget the exact numbers.) The area Subnautica is set in is a volcanic crater, hence some lava eruptions on the "surface" and the end game areas are lava zones in the center of the map.

you should make the seamoth a true sea and space vehicle by either having a mod or attaching floaters onto it.

Imagine if they implemented the bends into subnautica, how do you even go about treating that alone?! Oh no, that poor reefback! I always consider the shallows creatures (except the biters... @**holes) to be friends, even if a couple play using their teeth.
