A couple of tips from an old hand. To set up a new welder get some scraps of steel to play about with the settings. Remove the nozzle shroud on a gasless welder as it serves no purpose other than decoration and block your vision. This one from bitter experience make sure ther are no combustible materials on, around and under your bench. I didn't and lost my workshop. Weld outside if you can, there's less to burn. I had a sealey gas mig for years until it gave up the ghost, so I bought a clarke gas/no gas mig which I couldn't get on with. I might get one of these as a cheap alternative. Getting hold of the gas is expensive nowadays.

Hi Dick that welder will soon pay for its self .. I’ve saved my self a small fortune welding together those height adjustment rods for the wheels on the hayter mowers … they always snap in half ..practice really does make perfect ..learn what settings your welder comfortable welds at ( should sound like cooking bacon .. crackling noise ) one you’ve done that it’s just a matter of slightly adjusting the power and wire feed for different thickness of metal .. I use my welder with a argon / c02 mix which is a full size hobby bottle your be surprised one you get going how often you will actually use your welder your .. videos are Bob on dick they are very interesting keep it up 👍

Sealy is a good make. You will have to put an extension on the shop soon. Nice 1st go to. Great vid. I for one would like to see a few vids on you using that bit of kit.

Nice video..just got a storm force welder….about to start welding tomorrow.. I guess I’ll start at min setting and medium wire speed..with .8 flux…see how it goes.

Sold my gas mig pro 90 Clarke welder and bought one of these. Its being delivered shortly, question is is it any good, are they easy to learn to weld with?
