Johnnie Ferro I think it’s funny how we have to play out our ads. It’s actually a pain in the butt But we just can’t skip over our ads lol I will sit there and say come on come on LOL but at the same time If it wasn’t for the ads we wouldn’t get payed. Lol
That vase is simply beautiful and love the colors.. resin makes the colors pop!!💜💜
I have found a straight edged razor blade to be more effective than sandpaper. Work slowly, running the blade along the rim. I buy a box of 100. They are pretty cheap.
Hi sweetie its gorgeous the resin really does the vase justice the sheen and colors are beautiful ! I even like the transparency of the gold dust 'gorgeous ' 👍🤗💕
This is very pretty! Love the glitter & the colors you used. Marcy the Magnificent Mixed Media Girl!!!

just gorgeous
I love the colors! I also like the gold dust. It adds just a hint of sparkle.
Thanks for doing this video it’s right on time as I just did an acrylic pour on a small vase and was wondering how I could resin it. It looks great!
I truly LOVE your vases!! :) You inspire me so much to do another vase pour.
So gorgeous! The colors are just beautiful. You've inspired me, I have a case in mind for the same treatment.
Good info.. I’ve wanted to try.. now I will. So beautiful also!
Gorgeous!!
What a great idea! I paint flower pots..so I am going to try this on my next finished one. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome ❤️love the colour
Beautiful. . . I love it!
Love this, you do great work and experimenting 🌺
How good is that! The finish looks amazing.
Beautiful!!! Love it!!
Today I was wondering if that would work with resin and now you answered that question. Thank you! Going to try that.
Awesome, what a great idea 😊🌼🌻🌹
Beautiful! Needed a little advice , so ty!!
That's gorgeous! I just recently started using resin and I'm hooked lol. I know what you mean about how many times it takes with the spray...looks like I'll have to get the gallon set soon!
Thank you soooo much, i did some fliwer pots wondering how to seal for outside use! Now i know😁
Gorgeous
Beautiful 💕
Love it
beautiful!
The resin really brings out the colors and the gold add true sparkle to the Vase!♥ #KnowledgeIsPower! #AwesomeTeam♥
beautiful!!
That is beutful awesome love it.
brillante idée l'ajout de peinture or juste avant la résine, cette peinture or est magnifique. Votre vase est très réussi, grand bravo ! brilliant idea the addition of gold paint just before the resin, this gold paint is very beautiful. Your vase is very successful, congratulations!
Stunning 👌🏽😍
Perfect.
Beautiful work! Can't wait to try it! Is there any way to prevent the drips?
Could you use a dremel or rotary tool to remove the drips or is that not necessary and sand paper works great?
Wow, That vase is GORGEOUS! I just started doing resin and have been wondering about recoating a large vase I have. It is one that I keep outside as a pond spitter. Would the resin-covered vase do ok in the outdoor environment? I have sprayed it with a clear sealer but it's already peeling off. I thought it would last longer with resin. Thanks for your videos, I just subscribed and like!

Thank you :) it would do fine outdoors but resin will yellow over time in the sun 🌞
This is beautiful. How long did you wait for the paint to dry before the resin was added?
If I were to paint the inside do you think it would be possible to seal and make it waterproof for regular vase use
Thanks for the gold dust idea! How do you know how much resin to mix far a vase?
Did you coat the inside too? I have a stone flower vase that leaks and want to seal the inside. Any thoughts?
So beautiful - but how come the resin covers it so well? I would have thought the resin would totally run down and leave it patchy?
Hi, lovely vase - great colors. I have a question that is not related to this video, but maybe you can answer it. I love to cover my acrylic paintings with resin, but no matter what I do, the edges of the canvas never seem to get completely covered. I make sure the painting is clean, I use a leveler, keep an eye on the resin, but when all is said and done and the painting is all dry, some of the edges are not perfectly covered... Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Many thanks.

I would always spray the back of the canvas first to tighten it, that should help :)
Thanks for sharing the resin seal. A yr ago I poured on several vases for my son's wedding and used a spray seal. Even though I sprayed at least a half dozen coats they did not seal to last, got through the wedding beautifully though. How much resin per vase do you use?
@MixedMediaGirl

It doesn't take a lot, maybe about 2 ounces?
I would really like to see a video of you sanding that vase. I have done a couple bases like that but I am apprehensive about sanding so they are just sitting there waiting for me to do them.

Vases look like so much fun to do! And I love the design the paint creates! After sanding the extra resin down on the rim, does it not leave a rough surface or scratch marks on the resin?

It's such a small surface it's not noticeable

Love it! I wonder how Stonecoat's Quick Coat would work?
@MixedMediaGirl
5 жыл бұрын
It would work very well :)
Does the resin need heated on the vase to get bubbles out?
Do you sand your vases between coats?
Hi Iam painting a clay pot So after painting applying resin like this will seal the paint? And be a waterproof?
What resin was used. Love your work
I am a cherry from China, I am very happy to meet you.
How do you make the resin stay without it all dropping to the bottom? I would love to see how you seal a Ecollar skin (skin for remote control dog collar)
Initially when you did the pour, how did you get the pour to stay on glass vase? Didn’t gravity bring the pour down and you needed several pours? It gorgeous BTW

Not sure how to answer that. You can watch the video where I made the vase here kzread.info/dash/bejne/m4x-rbl7d8WZobw.html
Beautiful vase. How long does it take the resin dry?
@MixedMediaGirl

A day or less :)
I’m not sure how it happened, but the resin finish of my vase has pockets. Do you think my heat gun was too hot, or did I not use enough of resin.
Hey i did that with my pots but the resin leave patches and holes any idea why?
I want to do this resin technique for terra cotta pots I ha e painted. Don’t you get some drip marks near the throat of the vase. I have resined deep canvases and there are always a drip SOMEwhere.
@MixedMediaGirl

Nope :)
I've always wondered what a pour would look like if you did it on the inside of the glass.
I’m wanting to order some Stone Coat resin for coasters but I have no idea if I should order their regular resin or their art resin? What is the difference between the two?
@MixedMediaGirl

They are very very similar, but as far as I know the countertop resin is ultimately a bit harder, so I would go with that one ;)

How much resin did you mix
How much resin do you need to use for a case this size? I broke down and got some to try on a painting. I’m not sure if you answered that question in another video. What size canvases do you normally use?
@MixedMediaGirl
5 жыл бұрын
You only need maybe about an ounce for this vase. I don't have a normal canvas size, I use 8x10, 11x14, 12x12, and 10x20 the most.

Mixed Media Girl I use 8x10, 9x12, 10x10, 10x20, and 16x20. Because of you, I started with the pour painting. And appreciate all your videos! I use to oil paint, but life got in the way. Trauma therapy wanted me to let out anger from abuse as a child. Threw some paint at a canvas, because I really didn’t know what to do to let it out. Didn’t like it. And started looking up techniques here on KZread. Your work is amazing! But this stuff is addicting! And now have a ton of paintings I’ve done. Looking forward to trying the resin to seal a painting and keep the 3D look to it. However would also like to do one or two vases. Fun gifts.

Awesome!
What is the curing time? I did a small one 2 weeks ago and it still feels sticky.
@MixedMediaGirl
Жыл бұрын
Depends on your resin but it should be 24 hrs or less. If it's still sticky you unfortunately didn't mix your resin fully or your ratios were off
You did not need the three cans of sprays? Just resin? I really need to know before I purchase. This looks like a saner solution.
