Knight house from Horus heresy legions got transported to vanguard

Burning Flail is a really good card here as he can go into soul multiple times per game. Discarding or guarding early with it means it'll be revived by Bav when Armed then go to soul afterwards.

This seems to be a pretty fun deck to pilot! Never thought Bushi could make me want to play something from Dragon Empire. But, as you said, her waifu game is too strong ✊😔

I've been learning Vanguard for a few days thanks to the Overdress anime, and your videos have been very helpful! Deck profiles videos for each vanilla start deck + tips to upgrade them would be amazing! I know you touched on that a little in some videos but having everything wrapped up together would be great for new players like myself :) Thanks for the great content anyway!

One card that has been an absolute MVP is Orlando!!! He synergizes very well with Basvagara against certain control matchups and if you need the board they are easy to spam out onto the field which is a weakness of the deck. Basically they are meant to pad out your early rush or as early ditch targets, then when on G3 they are meant to be on columns you swing with before Vanguard because when Vanguard swings they go to soul and give +5k soul. Definitely would recommend considering in any Arms deck!

Yeah Orlando does synergize with Bavsargra pretty well, especially since Set 3 Bavsargra doesn't CB that much (I rarely use the Sword ping) Another card I've looked into is Randor (the G2 of the Eugene ride line). While the two or less RG requirement is iffy, he can SC1 and gain 5k power on attack which makes him another 15k beater that also fuels Bavsargra.

I actually did consider Orlando as well! I think he can be run in the Tensha or Namokar slot, agree with your points on him as well

This is very nice. Somehow KZread ended up recommending me this video. Of course there has been new card releases since DBT04. Anyhow, ordered quite a few cards to make this deck. I messed up big time, though. I was thinking Trickmoon would be in the Start Deck. Little did I know the little guy is sitting at 110€ish for a Playset. God knows what the reason for the price inflation is. Price from 2-3 months ago on Cardmarket was 12.50€ per card.

I didn't know deck building would bee this fun, Ive only deck built through sv and zero but irl it is so much different

Bavsarga replaced Bruce in my heart because her playstyle resonates more for me. In Yugioh, one of my favorite decks was Zexal Weapon Utopia and Bavsarga brings me back to those nostalgic times. Also her art is high quality

So uuuuhhhh... how many of the shield do you run? If you mentioned on the video, I can't seem to find the spot. But pretty great video regardless. My friends just got me into this not too long ago and I'm a sucker for dragon themes. I want to play around with this deck but I'm not sure what the ratio guidelines are yet. I also want to point out that I appreciate how you take the time to this deck out and explain things for newbies. I know it's easy to just assume your audience is well versed but everything about this video has made me a subscriber. Already my preferred youtuber for this game.

Can you use Bavsargra's auto effect once per turn as long as it is equipped, or does Bavsargra have to be equipped that turn to use it. Thank you.

For early game and aggression I'm finding very useful the dinosaur with on hit effect and the RR that goes in to soul for the ride line. On turn 2 they are 21k that can generate advance and disrupt the counter rush of your opponent. But I don't run the G3 for now and yep there are occasions that it can save the day so I'm considering him at 2x. I'm not a big fan of Namorkhar in the main. For sure I'm not a fan of the Trickstar version lol Btw waiting for the Spear and Trickmoon 🥰 Good list and thanks for the content.

I actually picked up this new start deck before Christmas. I just hadn’t had a chance to pull out of the box due to waiting on some sound equipment which should be in tomorrow. Plus, been enjoying my newly upgrade decks because of Set 3.

I have the starter deck and used it but don’t understand how the arms work like for the shield do we have to c-blast 1 every time we you it or just once and for the sword so i s-blast 1 one to play with it but my opponent has 5 damage in the damage zone do i still get the plus 10k

Question: Don't you have to resolve Arhinsa (the G0 sv) first due to Namorkahr soul blast? Or can you still activate the G0 draw effect even when its already soul blasted?

All effects go onto standby at the same time, and those effects resolve before the next check timing

I gotta ask... would Dragon Monk, Gojo be a good card in this deck? seems like the deck can be a little Counterblast heavy, and Bavsargra can revive him. Not only that, but I feel it would encourage players to guard against Bavsarga more because they dont want you gaining back resources

Question as I'm kinda new to vanguard, does the ride deck count as part of the 50 card deck or not? I actually want this to be my first deck

I couldn't agree with you any more: Bavsargra even with just up to Set 3 cards is already so much fun as I can't help but love her playstyle. Being able to do almost a little bit of everything from retires, easy Crits, high-powered columns and even defense and recursion via the Shield and her first skill. Then there's the use of the Arms Orders that have various which personally for me makes for a cool deck both in playstyle and theming. And yes, Bavsargra is indeed bae, DEFINITELY my favorite female unit out of Overdress atm and might even be one of my fav female units period alongside Nightrose, Gavrail and Salome. Plus I love Mirei so much as well. I'm currently trying out a lot of things in my Pre-Set 4 Bavsargra list based on the currently available generic DE stuff out there. Some cards I've tried/am looking into are: Volcanigun Dragon to hit 28k with a 10k booster after Bavsargra's retire skill, Randor (the G2 of the Eugene line) and Orlando to fuel Soul/gain power, and Brachioforce (some common G2 from Set 3) for early game draw + retire. I do agree the Trickstar + Arcs package feels clunky in the deck since there's no way to consistently search Trickstar and as you said, I'd better off prioritizing the 2nd Arm for the mulligan.

slightly off-topic but since i'm interested in picking up this deck, will it rotate out of standard after X months and therefore be no longer usable? i still struggle on how the overdress standard format works (too many tcgs lmao)

Yup exactly! Unless an effect allows you to equip once more or equip from drop/hand in addition (there are such effects in D-BT04).

When you equip, and then you pay the ability cost when you use the ability for the sword (CB2)

Because of the wording on the shield my friend says that with it being an auto skill that the first time that your vanguard is attacked while being equipped by The shield during each battle phase that it triggers and you can't choose when to use it. Is that correct?

That's incorrect, all 1/Turn skills are always optional in activation as of the V Series rule change in 2018, so you can choose when you resolve it

I think it helps to put yourself in the perspective that you're explaining these cards to a complete beginner that knows very little about the game, that's basically how I've been approaching it LOL

Good thing I live in America and got this deck, the English version that is. I did put in Hungersaurus and Volcanic “Blaster” Dragon, because Bavsargra’s effect to wipe out the Front row with ease really makes it scary. Especially on a Persona Ride turn.

They go to prison if they are in prison say from hand (in case of pure light from the soul) but when you pay the cost to free them they instantly get sent to drop zone

JP cards have thicker cardboard and the foil patterns are different.

I’ve been waiting for this, dude. Bavsargra simps rise up! Interesting build. How often do you run into CB issues, out of curiosity? I tried Tensha stead myself, tended to run into CB issues (but I’m not gonna claim to be the best player around, so maybe just playing poorly)

I tend to throw the sword 0-1 times per game. Consistently getting the +1 crit from soul blasting and always swinging for 23+ seems better to me. I throw the sword after getting good drive checks (especially with persona) and when the opponent is at 4.

I don't really run out much since I only really use the sword max 2 times per game, and Tensha is mostly there for hit pressure too so often he just gets guarded

I wish I could play Bavsargra in BRO tomorrow, but bringing Overlord to herald The End isn't a bad deal in itself.

great deck just can't build it on vanguard area

I’ve tested Original Saver Zero and from my testing it’s a very hard deck to build and can feel difficult as your a zero base power it’s really hard to guard I think the main difficulty with this deck to make it good is all the deck building and I still can’t decide if I should run 8 draws because of all the retire or crits for pressure and shield that you definitely need. Also on a side note I’m almost certain that Force 1 is needed

If you don’t have anything from the set then it could be worth, but singles are always the cheapest way to go
