Listening to the Seahawks crowd noise over YT or on TV does not do it justice. You must go to a Seahawks game before you die to experience it. I've had the pleasure of going to multiple Seahawks games and I can tell you that it's truly loud.

Shivam Thobhani ...Who said they were asked too. They do that every single game. The stadium was designed to make extreme noise to make it difficult for the opponents communication .Who are you coming here and telling fans that they are not cheering and screaming they’re hearts out for the team. I don’t know what video you were watching because they are never asked to make noise ,that’s what they do every game ,they just decided to kick it up a notch because they want to break a record. And last I checked ,how is it possible to be bored in the loudest stadium in the world. Ask anyone ,literally anyone ,witch will make you more excited ,thousand of fans screaming there lungs out ,or fans singing........damm ,why bring so much hate ,this is sports ,where we all go watch what we love ,to get away from all the politics and disasters around the world. Believe it or not ,I’m a huge Football fan ,and by Football ,I actually mean Football ⚽️. I call it that because I’m Mexican and grey up absolutely loving it. There’s never a week that passes without me watching at least a single game. But I also love American Football because I grew up in the US and they made me fall in love with it too......but people like you makes kinda embarrassed to be a football fan ,knowing that people think that that’s how we are towards other sports. You can’t hate on something just because it’s not where you come from ,it’s not part of your culture or because it’s not something you watch. If your human or courageous enough ,then you won’t reply with an insult. But if you do ,you should just be ashamed.

For you Europeans who don't understand why NFL fans make noise like this. Every stadium in the NFL does this to disrupt the opposing offense from being able to make audibles and communicate (something vital to the game). Seattle also has the most false starts against opposing teams because of how loud they get. NFL fans actually effect outcomes in games, I'm not sure how singing does the same thing.

Dude, soccer fans around the world whistle in high pitches to distract the away team when they have ball. And trust me, it's a hell lot worse than just simply screaming. And when the home team recovers the ball they continue singing the whole game winning or losing. I'm American but be honest man, soccer fans are real 12th man fans. Good thing MLS is growing in our country. Check their fans out.

DCUnderdog3000 I watch soccer alot. My brother plays comp, and we watch EPL, MLS, and a bunch of other games. I thought whistling was a form of booing in Europe. But I just have a hard time believing whistling is as loud the the noise made on 3rd down in an NFL game. Of course i've never been to an EPL game, but from what I've seen on TV, it doesn't appear to be as disruptive as noise made in NFL and even some college football games.

Bryce S. NFL fans just make a bunch of random cheering "noise", while footie (soccer) supporters actually rally and sing to support their players. Plus taunt the opposition side as well as the opposition fans. It's quite vitriolic in fact. More drama creates fans at higher tension. NFL it's stop-start-stop-start...tv time out...lame. Though American stadiums do allow drinking in the stands, while in Europe (England anyway) they do not.

Tyler Sweet No, the Chiefs broke the record during/moments after a pick 6. Seahawks broke it on a "pump up the crowd" moment. And Arrowhead wasn't constructed to generate noise like CenturyLink. It is a true open air stadium that fits more people. Its easier for noise to bounce around in Seattle.

The only time any artificial noise is played over the speakers is before the game, halftime, during timeouts, and 2 minute warnings. To have any sound over the speakers while the game is going on is illegal, and teams get punished if they do.

They intended to break the record, because it is CONSISTENTLY that loud. The record moments did not come orchestrated; they came during/after big plays, and that is how it is for every game. Hence, the desire to prove it and put it on the books once and for all.

LSU-100K, UT-102K, Bama-106K, Texas A&M 101K, Georgia- 96K, AUBURN-92K, Florida-92K, South Carolina- 88K, Arkansas-88K, UK-72K, ....no league including soccer sells more tickets per capita! none!....No passion runs deeper....for a area it's size (covers 9 states in the south Eastern US).

the game was just as organized as any other game, it was just louder because it was against galatasaray's main rival fenerbahce and they wanted to support their team. i don't know how it is in turkey but in germany there are normally 2 people using megaphones just to organize the support and sometimes there are drums but the rest is only the fans. the türk telekom arena is btw smaller (52,652 and 3000 of those are for away fans)

Surprisingly the record may have been broken this year by the Richmond Tigers supporters (including me). Richmond are a very well supported team in the Australian football league. Basically the Tigers hadn’t made a Grand Final (Super Bowl) in 35 years, and in the preliminarily finals (the games who decide who plays in the Grand Final) they played Western Sydney (a club new to the league who are very good but have no supporters). This game was played at the Melbourne cricket ground which has a capacity of 100,023. At this game there were 94,000 people there, including 89,000 Richmond fans. When the Tigers iced the game in the 4th quarter with a goal, the crowd made a roar of about 132db, Beating the world record!
