Lamar will have more playoff success now that he has an adaptable OC and DC.. people that watch the ravens understand most of his past playoff failures don't fall all on him. This is a much more mature Lamar with an offense that is adaptable, has weapons and is suited to him. He also has a defense that is not just cover 0 blitzes on 3rd down...this isn't the same Lamar nor is it the same ravens.

It’s really weird what Lamar has been expected to do throwing the ball to a revolving door of rookies and journeymen. I’ll bet you most people couldn’t name any of his WR’s from his 2019 MVP season. We were supposed to believe that Hollywood Brown was some kind of stud #1 WR when he was really an undersized rookie slot receiver with mid-hands that wouldn’t be a top three WR on any championship contender. Brown is probably going to be released by the Cardinals in a couple of weeks. Micheal Crabtree and Willie Snead? Bateman? This season is the best group he’s had in his entire career and his top targets are rookies. lol. I think he’s subconsciously adjusted his passing due to having receivers that cannot gain separation. People say he doesn’t lead the receiver enough sometimes, but I think he’s throwing the ball into an 8” window where they’re the only player who has a shot at it because he’s grown so accustomed to throwing to guys who can’t get open on their own.

It’s so refreshing to hear someone who’s actually watched the ravens talk about their playoff shortcomings. SO many people take a look at the box score, assume lamar is the reason they played bad, and spread that everywhere. There’s so many other reasons for their playoff lapses, and they’ve covered a lot of those holes this year, at least it appears that way

I hate that people are calling Purdy a fraud, he is very young. He has had a lot of pressure from everyone. The game plan seemed completely different than usual, when I was watching the game I was thinking about how different the 49ers were playing. Almost every time they targeted the middle of the field they looked like the same 49ers they have been. It seems they spent so much time focusing on and changing their game plan for the ravens, that they forgot what was/has been working almost the entire season. I’m not taking all the blame off Purdy, but the coaching was horrible the entire game. They kept doing good when they targeted the middle of the field, then they ran right at the ravens, stalled out, then either kicked a field goal or punted. 2 of Purdy’s picks were deflected then picked. Stop calling Purdy a fraud because he had one bad game.

It's the nature of the pick, and most definitely the system he's in with the talent he's surrounded by. Purdy is a great qb, but he's gonna have to overcome way more obstacles than first round draft picks

Purdy's not a fraud. But the Ravens D rattled him early. Your 49ers didn't look like usual because Raven's Defensive Coordinator, Mike McDonald utterly out-schemed your Offense. And Shanahan didn't have a good answer. So Purdy kept getting hit, tipped, sacked and finally hurt so he had to be benched. He's young, and his coaches didn't prepare him or your O-line for a REAL DEAL defense that is physical and relentless. He's still a good QB and he will grow each season if he can stay healthy.

They kept going for short passes or screens, which might work with a worse defense, but not the ravens. One of the safeties was a horrible snap, one was on a blocked punt, and this one was cause of the ref All 3 were just extremely unlucky situations

The reason the ravens always seem to be better in the back half of the game is because we have amazing coaches, they lock into what the other team is doing and make adjustments in the middle of the game as opposed to waiting till halftime, our players are amazing our coaches are also top tier

Actuallly most of their games the ravens do score on their first possession (if I remember that correctly, it was some random thing that was said in a commentary...).

As soon as I saw how much the media was hyping MVP talk and that they were picking the niners all day, I knew we were going to get smoked. Not taking away anything from the ravens but the niners looked like they didn't want to catch the ball all night. Shanahan also does the opposite of what usually works like running the ball. It's the NFL so who knows

The biggest thing the Ravens defence did was that they rattled the timing of a quarterback who's way too used in synchronised throws and people being open. Going against a physical line, who pressured him and confused him with zone coverage, he hurried onto his plays. If he is smart, he'll learn from such a game. But that's the challenge when your perfectly manicured offence cannot function the way you've been used to all year. Shanahan didn't help and Purdy couldn't improvise enough to save the game. Something that Jackson has been doing all year. Also, loved the analysis. You earned yourself a subscriber!

Kyle Shanahan tried to come out swinging and ended up getting popped in the mouth!!! We took him out of his game plan and he couldn't adjust!!!

Honestly as a ravens fan I was ALMOST hoping we lost this one, you learn more from a loss than a win, and if they meet again in the superbowl then that extra half step of preparation and motivation coming from a loss might come into play. I am sure the 9ers will be more prepared if there is a next time and i have no doubt that it'll be a closer game that could go either way.

Lamar the only quarter back that deserves mvp , other than mahomes it wouldn't even feel right giving it to Tua or Dak or Purdy or Hurts too. Mvp should be reserved for truly special players and just being good enough to win games gets exposed over a 17 game season .

The 49ers and the Ravens are my top 2 favs in the league so the outcome of this game didn’t matter a whole lot, I kind of wanted the ravens to win so they could secure the one seed. However, the 49ers offense made the ravens look better than they are… I don’t know what was going on with Kyle this game but the play calling was not the same as it usually is! They were throwing the ball a lot more than usual on first and second down. Not to mention calling a pass on 3rd and 1 on the goal line when you have the best Running back in the league in the backfield. I hate being conspiratory but I think the league wanted Lamar to be MVP. Even with the ravens dominant performance CMC still had 104 yards on 14 attempts with a touchdown, if he would’ve had 2 tds on 15 attempts he would’ve still been in the MVP race for sure… TBH Purdy was the only player on offense with a bad game 😅.

Jauan Jennings was out cause of an injury. I blame this loss on Kyle. Have no idea why he went pass crazy on this game which was really weird because everyone knows our run game is almost impossible to stop. Only explanation i could think of is he was trying to get Brock some more stats for his MVP run and it backfired with all them picks which was stupid when clearly the run with CMC was working. Kyle choking on big games is nothing new and I expected it to happen on this game and it did.

HC Kyle Shanahan game plan for the Ravens was weak & Purdy seemed uncomfortable with it. The Ravens HC game plan was excellent. Harbaugh must have focused on that earlier game against the Brown and saw that the Niners have issues against strong defenses. Bottom line, the Ravens put a beat down on the Niners, but there most likely will be a rematch of this game. And it will be interesting.

Cam Newton was correct. Purdy and Prescott are game managers not game changers. purdy clearly benefits From McCaffrey, Samuels, and those offensive weapons. @@RobinHood-pf2bf The NFL is a team sport first off. The Giants build a very good team around Eli. Not saying the Dolphins did not have a good team around Marino but it clearly was not good enough to challenge teams back then like the Broncos, Chargers, Raiders. But at the end of the day when it was clutch time Eli delivered and made some amazing throws to help that team win two Super bowls something Lamar action Jackson has not been able to do. All Lamar is right now is just another version of Mike Vick. Facts are Facts.
