Seagrass & Saddles - The Household Cavalry horses riding on the beach at Holkham
The Household Cavalry annual summer ride-out on Holkham beach 2019 - the Life Guards Regiment and the Blues & Royals Regiment.
Each year the Household Cavalry of the British Army head to their summer camp at Bodney in Norfolk. They have a morning on Holkham Beach, North Norfolk riding the horses along the amazing sandy beach of Holkham and then taken them into the sea for a swim.
This year we had unique access and were permitted to film from a drone and fitted GoPro cameras to some of the riders for some amazing on-board footage.

Perhaps this will shut up those who think this horses aren’t cared for, respected and appreciated. They are not circus horses, these are well trained to do their important roles. However then maintain their unique characters, their stubbornness, that’s what makes them all very special .

I've been watching the guards and horse's since last November around there and I've been wanting to be able to see the horses be able to run and have fun.

Not sure, but it seems like they are administrative? You see the whites in other videos but more in a management capacity. Not that I know, just that I have been loading up on all things London tourist. I hope to go there next year.

Usually I’ve seen trumpeters ride the greys.

@@karenyoung2299 The Windsor Grey are carriage horses at the Royal Mews. Cavalry greys are trumpeters’ horses. The commanding officer needed to find and see them in battle in order to signal his orders.
