5:10 perfect bearing! He knows he didn't put it in the flag holder yet he makes no secondary movements! That is amazing!

For anyone watching this video we got first place overall. The two rifleman are currently in the Marines "one stationed in Spain one in Japan". The commander *me* is currently awaiting to leave for the Navy as a Navy Diver. The Navy Flag is going through his last bit of work to join the Navy.

@Tyler I spent 4 years in the navy being an Aviation Electrician, last minute change from the navy diver, currently going to school using the GI for electrical engineering. The two rifles both spent 4 years each in the Marines, I believe both are using the GI bill as well, but i am not entirely sure what they are up to nowadays.

@Tyler I personally did color guard for my command for 2.5 years. It was a great choice that came with some awesome perks. What rate did you choose?

@TylerMost large commands will have their own color guard, or the base itself will have one. My command had a color guard and when I got there they needed a rifleman so I volunteered. Once you get to your command just ask around and see if anyone has a connection to one. I highly recommend it! It came with some awesome perks and I got to meet some very high ranking officers and enlisted personnel during my time.

As a current Army JROTC Color Guard Commander, that was beautiful! Even at the end when you called them to carry colors and he missed, he kept going as if it was planned. I only hope my color guard can be that precise

We practiced just us 4 for weeks on end. Myself (commander) and the navy flag would practice in the classroom to get the timing down as close as we could.

Be proud of yourself, and the uniform that you wear. It represents the best part of our home. Young, focused, driven, American men. It would be nice to see some diversity! But damn great job!

Ok so I'm also in NJROTC and I'm also in the varsity color guard at Hamilton High, the performance was nicely done, you guys also got some work to do, in the beginning when an order arms was called, the left riflemen went up and grabbed the rifle before the exception command "arms" was called, which is not allowed, although you guys might do something different then us. Also you guys were wearing your ribbons and angulates, which it states in the drill manual you are not allowed to wear those in a color guard, and I don't know if this was a practice or if it was at a comp. but if it was at a competition then you guys would have lost some points, but besides that, I enjoyed your guys' performance.

Lot of issues with this performance. For one, they do not fall in at close interval, but for some reason they come together after forward march. They do the adverse whenever they halt. Unauthorized. Whenever they go to mark time or half step their speed increases dramatically. The speed needs to be constant without fluctuation. The stomping needs to stop as well. They seem to be marching irregularly, almost as if they are taking a small stride with their right foot, then overly extenuating their left foot. The left rifle guard should remain stand fast when the command "order" is given. He executes his movement on the command "arms", same as the other guard. Both guards have differing angles when at opposite shoulders. To eliminate this issue, both need to insure their arms are making a 90 degree angle, with the forearm being parallel with the marching surface. All members need to insure their left arm (right arm for left guard) is perfectly straight down, with no bend at the elbow. Other than that the team was sharp. I didn't notice until watching a second time that the Navy flag bearer missed his harness when going to present but continued as if nothing was wrong. Great bearing.
