Sea Palling And Winterton-On-Sea, Norfolk 2023 | Seasides, Rock Pools And Thatched Cottages |
Hello! I have just got back from the most wonderful family holiday. Although the weather wasn't on our side, the beauty of Norfolk certainly was. I wanted to share with you some fantastic places that we visited in our time in Norfolk, and that includes Sea Palling, Winterton-On-Sea, Wells-Next-The-Sea, Cromer, The Norfolk Broads, and Norwich.
In this first video, we took a trip to Sea Palling which is a gourgeous seaside with a lovely cafe, rockpools, the perfect place for a sea swim, and also some fun family amusements. We then the following day took a trip to Winterton-On-Sea which is the most beautiful village, with lovely locals, and many thatched cottages. We had the most fantastic first couple of days in Norfolk, and I really hope you enjoy joining us on our little holiday.

Had my wedding reception there in 1990 born there in 1966
Lived in sea Palling for a while, lovely place, specially in winter, quieter.

It is a very special place. I really enjoyed my visit, and I bet it is nice and peaceful in winter :)
I thought Sea Palling sounded familiar. I cycled around the area about 10 years ago, and although it was May, the weather was typically British, i.e. awful! Popped over to see the beach and it was like walking off the end of the earth! Grey Sea, heavy swell and wind whipping sand everywhere. Amazingly there was someone out in the water too, couldn't have paid me enough to try it myself. Looked much nicer when you went!

Oh wow! I can imagine it's a stunning place to cycle around, but providing the weather is on your side. So perhaps not the best experience for you with all of that crashing weather. I love going to the seaside on a cold and rough day and finding someone in the water!! I definitely admire their courage, and hope to build up to it. Although it wasn't too sunny, it was still a really lovely day. Perfect for rockpooling and paddling :)
When I saw "Sea Palling" I thought it must be some northern colloquialism I didn't know (for rock pooling maybe) - not just a place name!! Looks like you had a fab time 🙂

😂😂😂 That's amazing! I genuinely found that so funny! It would make a great name for rockpooling. I'm now very curious about the history of the name Sea Palling.
