Garl may be one of the most insufferable RPG characters ever. Everyone... _everyone_ in the game loves him and can't shut up about him. "I wish Garl were here." "Isn't Garl the bestest best boi ever?" "Remember when Garl did that super unremarkable thing but we'll romanticize it anyway?"

I feel like even "Good" is an overstatement. I dnf'd the game. The writing was so bad and hackneyed and the game play was so boring and simple. Doesn't have a thing on Chained Echoes.

Yeah, I respect that take. There were times where I thought the game was kinda lame.. but overall, I do think it's solid, is polished, and looks/ sounds nice..But yeah, I would agree that the story sucks and the gameplay is simple.

I liked the game too but I agree its not a all timer. Perfect analysis. Its a fine game, its a good game, but its nothing more than that and its not a all time classic.

Totally agree!

This was one of the most disappointing game I ever played, as everything I heard and saw made it seem like a blend of everything I love. The result seemed like a nostalgia checklist rather than a game with its own identity. Such tedious gameplay, devoid of player choice and challenge, and really no replay value whatsoever. Some of the music was good, especially on that snow mountain, but not memorable.

That sounds super sad, but its about the same I think about Eiyuden and how it was just a checklist for Suikoden tropes.

Needs the completionist put back in the game as a super boss. You give him money for charity then when you hit the right amount you find him in a cave full of cheeseburgers

@@NYCJoeBlack ya they took him out after the open hand thing. Boils down to people donated to charity and he never gave the money away just sat in a bank account collecting interest
