​@@BigBlack20I even thought it was sort of intended. He ambushes you in hunting grounds, and you know "Rabbit season/duck season" thing.

That part where the music slows down and then riffs is amazing. I love this one

So many boss fights in this game I beat and immediately think “I wanna do that again.” This is top of the lair. God I hope new game + (if Sea of Stars has it) allows you to reset your level to 1

new game+ is weird for reasons you'll find out... but tbh im considering giving it a second from-scratch playthrough

clarifying: new game+ isn't bad, just doesnt reset level, among a number of other things.

You keep levels, relics and all equipment, all skills and all combos, all 60 conches and all ingredients. Cooked food gets lost as do key items (besides conches), and i am unsure about the rest. Keeping relics means you can immediately enable artful gambit and/or tactitian's mettle for difficulty, though first few bosses go down in 2-5 turns anyway (if you equip endgame gear)

@@thatonemeganium the endgame gear is what makes it a bit nuts imo, youre so strong that you practically have to enable challenge relics or its a joke

Pienso exactamente lo mismo

IMO, these guys shoudl've taken the Acolytes place. Even with the small amount of time we get to see them, they are way more intimidating and interesting than 4 people who are mysterious jsut for mysterys sake. Not to mention this boss fight is the best in the game, while the Acolytes are just meh.

If you keep Serai out of the party (so you don't spend her turn accidentally) and she has enough MP you can always block it. Start with her Disorient move so you have more time (one poison lock) then a charged normal attack from Resh'an (one poison and one arcane, timing it is not essential) then a normal timed attack from Valere or B'st (two blunt locks). Alternatively, a timed normal charged attack from Resh'an (two poison, one arcane lock) and a normal timed attack from Valere or B'st. In fact, it's the move you should prioritize blocking. Without relics, it's almost always lethal if you're not at max HP.
