The Suomen Merimaailma Sea Life aquarium center is in Alppila , Helsinki, in connection with the Linnanmäki amusement park . The center is owned by Merlin Entertainment Group. Helsinki Sea Life began operations in 2002.
Helsinki's Merimaailma Sea Life consists of about 50 aquariums, the sizes of which vary from about a hundred liters to a large ocean basin of 250,000 liters. The purpose of the center is to present the marine animals of the world's seas, offer visitors experiences and share information about the protection of the seas.
