    Hi, yes adding the translucent really waters down the green gold but leaves the soft shimmer of the mica it looks cool doesn't it x

    That cutter shape looks like the "fish hook" Maori jade pieces I saw in New Zealand. A lovely shape and very traditional.

    Hey, Kathryn - was so sad your little swirl cutters don't ship to U.S. They are marvelously shaped. Do another tutorial with these if they can ship to the Yanks in the future. Thank you for sharing.

    Ahhh, so beautiful❣️ I really like the cutters, that shape is great!! I also really like the delicate, subtlety of these pieces. There are several things you do consistently that I am so trying to emulate 😁 I appreciate your use of limited quantities of clay. I tend to use too much clay, end up with a lot of scrap, which I then make a lot of beads with or set aside and never get back to, or both 🤪….. The other diligent thing you do that I find so worthwhile is sanding prevention. I’m getting better at it and it really does make getting to a final piece so much easier. So thank you so much for your artistry 🙏 its much appreciated and I learn a lot from you. Now I’m learning to construct fairy houses to use up large quantities of scrap at one time 🤣 I love your videos!!!

    We have the same last name. From my experience it is an unusual name that you don't hear very often. I wonder if we are related somehow. Awesome work I don't do clay often but will definitely give this a try.

    I don't Lorrene, i use thin cardboard sometimes but generally i don't tent anymore ( i just have a high sided takeaway container)

    Hi natalie its a technique called mokume gane, the shape i used is a MG press not a cutter it puts a pattern in the clay check out my other Mokume videos for more info x

    Most folk seem to prefer inches TBH Heidi, I can convert easily enough between metric and imperial, its not rocket science ha ha ha so It really doesn't bother me
