SEA DAY IN MY LIFE: 21-DAY AFRICA CRUISE || NORWEGIAN DAWN

The first sea day vlog of many!! I think sea days can sometimes be overrated so hopefully this vlog helps open your eyes to all the fun & productivity that can happen when having a day at sea. Especially when the bartender hands you two drinks when you only ask for one ;)
What do you think about sea days on cruises?

I have booked this same itinerary for November 2024 and trying to choose between the Dawn and the Sky, which are both going to Cape Town from Europe. I have heard so many complaints about the Dawn but your videos have helped me get excited about sailing on the Dawn. I know that you are sponsored by NCL and I hope that these are your authentic reactions... but your excitement is infectious. I am soooo excited to visit West Africa. I know that I have to be flexible because the itinerary can change at any time... I know that everything will be an adventure and I can't wait for my trip! Thanks!

I’m trying to convince my husband to do a cruise. We’ve been watching your cruise trip videos since day 1. We are cruise virgins and we really want to go to Africa. So, fingers crossed that me and (YOU) can convince him to do a journey of a lifetime!

Hi Gracie, thank you for another great video. I love joining you on your travel since I can't travel anywhere on my own, you are truly a bright spot in my day. Would like to ask you and Austin for a favor, as I know you are both Christians. If you could please pray for my son John. He was in a very serious car accident. He has broken legs and it will be a long recovery Road When the children suffer so do the parents, Your parents are so lucky to have a wonderful daughter like you. Your prayers would mean so much to me. I love you and I am so proud of you.

After what the Norwegian Dawn did to the elderly passengers they left behind I will never ever use Norwegian again. They could have handled that so differently. My 83 year old mom was literally looking into an Africa cruise when this all happened and now she won’t even consider it. I had just finished having a conversation with her about it and then went on KZread and this video popped up (I’ve subscribed for years - you’re the same age as my daughter and we were looking up rush videos!). I looked up to see if it’s the same ship and cruise and it is. I know Norwegian sponsors you and as such, I hope they see this message - Norwegian, at the end of the day, your industry is a hospitality industry. You could have handled all this so differently. I hope in the future you do, but my mom isn’t going to be taking that chance.

Ya no. Your age doesn’t warrant special treatment. All aboard time is know before you even board. If you schedule something on your own and take that risk, it’s on you. Period.

@@amielawson8344 Fully understand the rules. But in the hospitality industry the rules can be bent, and should be bent, to protect vulnerable people. The ship was still there and the gangway was down but the captain still wouldn’t allow them to board. You doing to do that to your 85 year old grandma because, rules? The woman that had the stroke they sent to the hospital with *nothing* and didn’t even call her emergency contacts. That’s acceptable to you?

So if they do it to one person one time when is the cut of? There is none. Rules are rules, no airplane company would have waited, what’s the difference, leave 2 people or make 4,000 late no choice

@@isabellejeffrey9587 Not true at all. Airlines will regularly hold a plane when a connection is late. My son was on a plane to Columbia, Missouri that was taxiing out to the runway when the gentleman in front of him realized that he had bought a ticket to the wrong Columbia - he thought he was going to Columbia, South Carolina. The plane returned to the gate, let him off, and even pulled his luggage out of the cargo hold for him. American Airlines, just last year. THAT is hospitality. Like I said, the ship was still there, and the gangway was still down. No one was going to be late. You bend rules where appropriate in order to protect vulnerable people when necessary. Norwegian failed there.

When you start your own KZread channel you can keep it real puritan. What’s the difference between her back and any girl wearing a bikini that shows her back? Because it’s one string on her back it would make it decent?
