i just got my dorm assignment and i’m a freshman and I’m living in south campus plaza! it’s a triple and i haven’t seen it yet but they sent floor plans and i’m excited :)))

Thank you so much! My daughter starts at SDSU this August (2020) and we were very interested in the housing, and particularly the rooms. This really helped!!

Ya'll freshmen are sooooo lucky you have the opportunity to have nice ass dorms with actual good food below you that takes meal plan 😭😭 meanwhile my class 4 years ago was stuck in all old and stuffy dorms (with the exception of zura)

ill be at state in the fall and I got assigned to a triple at olmeca. watching this makes me so sad

Hi. Great video. Can you tell me how many outlets there are in the living area? It seems like there is one outlet per wall. Does each outlet have 2 or 4 plugs. Thanks.

does your card open up rooms in every building or just the one that you live in?

Your card opens all dorms related to you, including any utility room. For example, SCP has two towers, and my ID can open both of them. I'm not sure if this is the same with all other dorms since some have a pin-code access to dorms/rooms.

Hi!! I just applied for the 2018-19 school year. I have a few question! When did you receive your acceptance letter? How likely are you to get the dorm of your choice? What are the main differences between South Campus Plaza and Zura?

Hey! I received my acceptance in February by email and shortly after I got a mailed-in letter (but internationals get there acceptances later in March and some non-internationals do too). As for dorm, if you are a first year, the dorms are actually random, you do not get a say but from what I see, the room and size and roommate requests are pretty accurate. Zura is an honors-based dorm and SCP has two towers. One of which is mainly internationals and upperclassmen based and one is all first year. The main difference is SCP have their own bathrooms and you have more room, Zura people tend to be impressed with how ours is.

Not in terms of dorm floor plans i believe.

How can you get South Campus Plaza for your dorm? I understand its luck, but... is there anything you can do to up your chances of getting in here? Thanks

Not that I know... we're all wondering that but all I know is most people were out of California on my floor but 2 of us (whether that random... not sure)

I had the same idea w my dorm tour! Theres not a whole ton of tours for any of the dorms, look at us out here informing people :) Id love to do a collab next semester if you're ever up to it!

On the left side of the SCP there is the second SCP tower (there's a north and south tower). There's a ton of restaurants or Trader Joe's underneath the buildings too.

Is there triples in the south tower? I saw another video and there was a triple in the SCP so I just want to make sure?

To my knowledge there are a few triples but I am not sure if they are distributed evenly between both buildings or if only one has them...

south campus plaza south has triples bc i’m in the south building and my letter said it was mostly triples and doubles
