If its depth and width then that Multiplication is for getting a cross sectional area of that strip through which water is flowing

@@nayanacs1889 to get depth of Current meter at that location. Here flow depth 'd' is 1.1 m and current meter is kept at 0.6 d, so exact depth of current meter will be =1.1 * 0.6
