Love the video!! I think people complaint with price is more focused on other product offerings not in the crawler space. For example, for this price you could get any Arrma 3s basher (again in a different category than this). When looking at it like that it’s pretty crazy. But, when you break down costs for parts it makes sense

I really appreciate you took the time and went through all the details. My view - I can only agree. That price makes sense (especially after I find myself investing well north of 200€ and will probably land around 400€ of investing in our close-to-new Arrma Mojave 6s just to stop it from breaking after every run). I am one of those guys who actually consider this rig from Furitek as their first crawler - and it has a lot going for it, but there are for me open points Furitek should answer - at least from a point of someone who is a beginner. Let me delve into in a little more detail: (1) The 'body' included is basically there just to tell us where is the front and I can no consider it more than a place-holder. On top of that - one can not tell (from what is available online) what bodies would fit and whether one can even get anywhere close to some kind of 'scale' build without being a modding-guru (remember, a potential first time buyer is talking) (2) There is NO technical information available from Furitek as of now - no specifications, no user manual, no exploded views. Literally - the 'Download' site on Furitek as nothing at all. Also next to no information on compatibility with other electronic systems (they do mention that the Traxxas receiver does not work what is a bummer). (3) Those shocks should have been oil-filled. Period. Those components are not easy to find (is there any quality source for 1:24 scale at all?) - no clue whether TRX4m shocks would fit. Maybe they just could not find a supplier or though it was not really needed. (4) Neither the 4x4, nor the 6x6 appear (I may be mistaken, but see the point (2) ) appear to be able to change wheel base - that would be a great feature that would allow to fit different bodies more easily. I do suppose that over time at least some of my 'points' will be solved in one way or another. In total - it drives really well as it comes and I applaud them for it, but to turn it into an actual semi-scale truck may well be an involved project (I have not seen one such a conversion yet, though I expect that to change over time). So honestly - I am really on a fence and it may (I am not in a hurry) make more sense to get the TRX4m, get the Furitek kit and bite the bullet and the also the Avatar radio plus the receiver. Because that, to me, appears the easiest way to get nice scaled car with the awesomeness of the Furitek (I would prefer the 1:18 Land Cruiser or a flat bad truck from FMS for looks, but would be a lot of work I guess - the Cayman is not compatible with them - that information is directly from Furitek) End of a rant :)

Point 1: Bodies are a very hard thing to give a "standard fitment". We are constantly buying bodies and trying them out. Furitek would "never be right" if they gave some sort of "these bodies" suggestion. I would try 1/18-1/24 bodies. You can also just wait until people start fitting bodies and if you see one you like, ask where they got it. Point 2: I kind of wish they had an exploded view of the truck for new people as well... You can probably find an exploded view of the axles as they are by FMS (for the FCX24). The thing with this truck is that it is not a "normal RTR". It is a CUSTOM. So these parts are sort of piecemealed together. As for what tx/rx works with the Furitek Lizard Pro, any will worth that allows an external ESC. (They specifically mention the Traxxas because the Traxxas is a COMBO ESC and RX (Same with the FCX24 and SCX24 stock electronics) None of those are really meant to use an external ESC. But any "Hobby Grade" RX/TX system (NOT ESC COMBO) will work for the lizard (and any other external ESC). Point 3. I agree, they should have used oil filled shocks. Big Sad. You can upgrade them as there are plenty of options out there. Even the Stock FCX24 Max Smasher has oil fillable shocks. (and those will fit on here) Point 4: If you mean "change the wheel base" as in make it wider, you just need positive offset wheels or some hex wheel spacers (for the FCX24) and you can get a wider wheelbase. If tyou mean longer wheelbase, you just need longer suspension links and driveshafts. Final Point. This rig is NOT meant to be a "scale truck". It is meant to be much closer to a comp truck. (Not that you cant make it a scale truck, that just requires a scale body ;-) and a way to mount it.) Furitek is going to say those bodies will not be "compatible" because they would require work to make it fit. Again, if you get creative and crafty, you can fit all kinds of bodies and beds on this thing. You just have to figure out how to mount them. That is something that happens daily in many of the SCX, and FCX 24 facebook groups. If you want a very scale looking truck, the SCX24 Bronco (hard body) and the trx4ms (also hard body) are very good at scale details. All of the FMS hard bodies also look fantastic. Swapping any of the RTR Rigs (Except SCX24 Trucks that come with the V1 Electronics, they work with external ESCs) will require you to upgrade to a new RX/TX for the external ESC. Keep that in mind when pricing.
