    The different axle length makes me question qc. I wish someone would sell a cvd and knuckle combo that actually guaranteed better steering radius.

  • @michaelc3416

    100% agree. Just ordered a set of Mofo +4 axles with the brass weighted hex extenders. Considered the CVDs but, again, not offered in a +4 version that will accept the brass hex extenders. Not sure why. Not sure they offer much in the way in extra steering angle, but rather reliability than traditional dog bones. Hopefully some smart person will move the hex pin hole and offer these in a +4 that will except the heavy hex extenders before too much longer.... MOFORC, ya listening??

    5:31 actually. The CVD I purchased had poorly made pins and it would bind the axle and eventually burned out my motor. Thought it was a screw binding but it was the new axles.

    damn,... thats no good. Ive seen people use some red loctite or CA glue on the pins to try and help prevent them from backing out. Even seen some people "ping" them with a small dent.

    Having issues with the plus cvd axles binding at max turn, still have the rubber oring installed. No bolts causing the binding in c hubs. Do these have a negative effect if clocking axles?

  • @TheShopMiniRC

    @TheShopMiniRC

    Жыл бұрын

    Clocking your axles shouldnt matter. They do still have a limitation on turn radius but it should be much better than dog bones.

    @@TheShopMiniRC Sorry, I meant the cup the stock dog bone goes in. If the sleeve fit over, it would keep the pin in position, like it does on the CVD. That was what I had in my head anyway. :D

    @@TheShopMiniRC Interestink! :) So probably the CVD pin will be the right length, if it fits. My line of thinking was that folks could just convert their existing stock style if they could just get or make the cups. Though probably a non-issue if the pin can be to stay put. Thanks for giving it a whirl!

    CVDs dont give you more angle, they give you smoother rotation while steering is at full lock and have less play. If you want more angle, get Universals.
