    I went to art school and was a professional artist back in the day before there were such an abundance of great tutorials. Every method was hard won. Finding good quality information was a chore. I hope people appreciate how lucky they are having a useful resource like this video at their fingertips. Excellent video.

    I for one do. Everything I've learned on this topic is from youtube. Also, my career is based on what I learned on the internet and I am happily employed for 12yrs now with what I learned on the internet. I took my colleague degree 7yrs after already practicing (unrelated to sculpting) so I acknowledge the power of information.

    And the lack of tools and different mediums, mould making, let alone how to do it. And the expense! My mother was a magnificent self taught artist in every media and she passed away 10 yrs ago, I see what she did with limited knowledge and wish she had the opportunity to make use of the limitless possibilities we have today ❣

    Ikr ! Im the first generation growing up with this stuff and i feel so lucky to have such great helpful guides to help me . Like for instance I could learn a langauge if i wanted to just by downloading an app for free! We are so lucky !

    I am a sculptor and former maker of sculpting tools. Even though I myself find it impossible to do, I totally admire artists like yourself who can do SO VERY MUCH with only one or two simple tools! Bravo Stecca!!

    Somewhere I heard "it's not about how many strings you have, it's what you do with them", and it's true, better materials can make it look better, but materials don't come with creativity or talent included

    I love making mini heads like this, however my mother wasn’t so fond of all the mini head sculptures I left everywhere 🤣 art student here, and this face plane technique is what we learned at AAU! Love

    This was amazing to watch -- a round lump of clay becoming a human head and nothing more, it's hard to explain the feeling. I am finally encouraged in my own work and have now seen that I can sculpt an accurate face out of Monster clay! Thank you so much!

    This video is by far the best I've encountered! With no words attached, with every move he makes you can learn something different ( for a beginner like myself) If I can just master this technique w/o watching this video over and over, i'll become a master myself!

    This was cool very good tutorial i watched first and attempted while following along and it came out much better than what my mind sees although without reference I was pretty close but with this when I walked away and looked back I was like woah that looks like a real person lol

    That mini metal ruler is very handy...looked for something similar at Amazon but the smallest one they carry is 15 cm. long and has a cork backing...

    A very informative tutorial on how to build features from a basic head structure. It takes a lot of the mystique out of clay modelling and encourages even novices to have a go at it. Thanks for sharing.

    This guy definitely works to rule. Video paced just right. Precision marking to retain symmetry. Precise slicing to create the planes of the head. Pauses to comprehensively display progress..When my Living Doll Sculpey clay arrives this is the vid I will follow. I hit like and subscribed after watching less than half of this vid..Will comment further

    Once you have the refined head it's amazing how quickly it could be transformed into another sex or person. Important to keep focused on the final character.
