yes. the motherboard doesn't care about the voltage of the adapter.

This one would cut plywood a lot faster then the S9 right? Can I easy replace my S9 with this one?

you can replace the s9 with this laser module. infrared is best for engraving on metals. it is only 2w so not a lot of cutting power.
