The all-new, 10-episode second installment of THE X-FILES is executive-produced by creator Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning in their roles as iconic FBI Agents FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY. Mitch Pileggi also returns as FBI Asst. Director WALTER SKINNER. Additionally, the all-new episodes will feature guest-star appearances by Annabeth Gish, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Karin Konoval, Barbara Hershey, Haley Joel Osment and William B. Davis, who reprises his role as “Cigarette Smoking Man.” Along with Carter, series veteran Glen Morgan serves as an executive producer.
In 2016, THE X-FILES drew an average Multi-Platform audience of nearly 16 million viewers and was last season’s No. 2 broadcast drama. It also was the season’s most talked-about event series on Twitter.
THE X-FILES originally premiered in September 1993. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully and Mulder, as they investigate unexplained cases - “X-Files” - for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.

Ducovny looks great for 61 and Gillian grew into a lovely woman; yeah its weird seeing them young in the earlier seasons, it doesnt feel that long ago

Funniest X-Files Ever! I was just thinking about how under appreciated Angry Black/X was last night. He saved both Molder & his Mother's life, a debt that could never be repayed. I also loved the ending, "Where the hell they taking Reggie?!!" As above, so below, The Aliens, The Border LMAO!!! Except we've do have a legal vetting process of entry, so there's always a door open to space. Hey check out this new Secret Society findings within the Gov! Plus this Switzerland summit & the suspensions of there time travel capabilities found in the Chinese burial Pyramid. I was reminded of "If Looks Could Kill" today! Lol :) Let that percolate!

Wait, there is a movie with Sinbad as a genie. I can see the poster or video cover or whatever before my eyes. Him with one of these big Ottoman turbans with crossed arms, grinning into the camera. Now that I think about it, it could well be that I remember an illustration of the Mandela Effect. I never saw the movie but I distinctly remember the poster.

I had the same thing when I first heard about this show when I was a kid. I thought Scully was the male agent and Mulder was the female agent.
They have the Billy Meier picture in the IWTB poster again, I guess they paid for the picture this time

I have a distinct memory of having 2 of my wisdom teeth removed at the same time. I wasn't on goofy drugs, only analgesic injections. I went back to the dentist a year later for a checkup and got into a legit argument with him about my TWO teeth that he removed, while he had to go fetch records and x-rays to prove I only ever had one tooth removed. I'm still not entirely convinced...

Should've shitcanned the mythology instead of ruin it like they did, and just focused on MOTW eps and had fun with it. Who knows, we may have gotten more X-Files revival eps than we did.

So the show is back and kind of a comedy now, spoofing itself? Also - they have the office back and the poster and...and... I just have so many feelings, not all of them good.

Have you watched the show? Each season had a least one parody episode since season 2 and self-deprecating humour is somewhat a trademark of the characters.
