A fave of many, but this one is easily in my top 5. But that's like picking one's favorite Beatles song.

Schnauzers are great dogs! I miss all the ones I have known over the years, including the three that were a part of my family.

Another great episode, done without the full cast. Only thing I would've done differently is to have had Andrea Martin do her Libby Wolfson character in the barracks. And/or more of Pirini Schlerosa would've been fun. Would've been fun to see her trying to survive outside of her "perfect worldl", self-doubting, sniffing for smells etc. Very ingenious plot, with a kind of multiple-twist tie up. (And Cabayero's obsession with wanting to see YENTYL...ha! Pretty random, like much of the show. Oh, one more thing: As a member of the Sammy the Goose fan club, (the International tent) I am still collecting signatures in my petition to get SCTV to give him his own show. Either a morning (or afternoon) kids' show, or a hard-hitting PRIME TIME dramatic series. Maybe something along the lines of THE NAKED CITY or...I don't know, a BREAKING BAD? I can see he's got a lot more potential ---and range---than he's ever been given credit for. There! I've said my piece! Better shut up now! (Oh, and btw, thanks so much for posting this episode. I'd all but forgotten about it after all these decades. ;-)

John Hemphill is easily the worst comedic actor I've ever seen. Painfully unfunny and miscast. He seems like he would be a good dramatic actor so his decision to pursue comedy is puzzling as he clearly has no acumen for that. They must have been desperate.

As a writer, he fit in perfectly with his small roles on SCTV. Good look. VERY funny watching him. Go kite a fly, pilgrim.

It was their last season, but if that's the worst SCTV had to deal with, they should be lucky. Saturday Night Live has dealt with a lot of miscasting and, for better or worst, it's still here. MADtv dropped off due to a crappy revival season. In Living Color ended due to censorship issues and a new direction that no one liked.
