This is a demonstration of our screen printing process. It's a look at Jeremy's Bumblebee poster, from start to finish.

As far as the winter time.... It's super hard with freezing hoses and stuff. So we run a hose with warm water from inside the house, and use a space heater for the garage... it's not too too bad.

@Jonito! - What types of inks are you using? Can you Pantone match with these inks? And what were you using for the drying rack? Dig it.

Thanks Mark! So we use jacquard or speedball inks. We don’t often use a Pantone swatch book, but we rarely just use the color out of the bottle. We modify it to our needs by mixing other colors in. The rack is a photo darkroom drying rack :)

what if you are down to the last 5 posters and run out of the custom color you mixed? Do you just eye ball mixing up the color again and hope no one notices a difference? Nice job, I collect poster art and wondered how the process went.

We usually mix more ink than we need. There has been a couple times that we have run out though. If we keep the screen wet (spray it with a water) we have a good 20min to quickly mix another color, before the ink dries into the screen permanently.

Great work man, quick question, how do you split the three colors on the negative? Regards from Colombia.

Hey! Well the colors are split in photoshop, then each color is printed in black on clear acetate. We use both channels and layers :)
