This is brilliant. It's 2017, you're eating up the Nurburgring in a 6MT RWD car that has magnetic ride, balanced handling, F1 shift lights and a glorious FPC V8 engine. 5 years ago, if someone gave me that description and told me to guess which new car it describes... I would've never guessed it was a Mustang. Props to Ford for making such a great, visceral machine. I owned an E90 M3 and I've always thought of this as the spiritual successor to that car, from a mechanical perspective.

I agree, the two cars are peas in a pod. The BMW is more luxurious and refined but the 350 is just a batshit insane car. In a world where even the vaunted GT3 has abandoned a true manual transmission the GT350 may be the purest drivers car available today.

I was thinking the same thing. But I never get the braking just right at the end of the back straight without the assist line so I would probably crucify the last turn before the last technical section before turn 1

@@ydiaz8080 uhhhhh it totally was 😂😂, sadly Mr Shelby passed away in 2014 and the gt500 was the last Shelby he developed with Ford. And Ford adopted the Shelby name when the s197 (pre 2010) model gt500s came out. So yea Ford Performance did indeed develop this Shelby and the new one and more to come

@@terrycrim8728 Did you get your track time? After watching this video I've got to get mine on the track somewhere. I have one fairly close DFW and another in Oklahoma.

This was 8 minutes and 44 seconds of 100% pure, FDA unapproved, spine tingling adrenaline. You can hear the car begging for more, you can feel the engine screaming in joy for being let loose do do what it was built to do... I'm buying one now, this video just sold me.

I bought a gt350 a year ago after watching this. Just this. I still come back to this video every few months.

My whole body tensed up when I watched this, like I was driving. That sound is just amazing.

Pretty good driving and the audio quality is spectacular. I really love the GT350, especially after seeing it a few months before it was released in pre-production guise and being able to hear that exhaust note. Enjoy the car in good health.

The engine in the GT350 has a flat plane crank like used by European manufacturers such as the Ferrari V8's, which has a completely different sound. This is the European V8 sound, not the American V8 sound.

Work done by Hennessey in Tx, but DBR High Performance (with Lund help) in TN have been dialing it in. It needed tweaks. I only have 2k miles on it but have really fallen in love with the GT350s and the sound/feel plus the nostalgia of the brand. Great video!!

MAHILfilms so I have driven the 350 and there isn’t a whole lot of road noise. It’s a well insulated car. So you really enjoy the engine and exhaust

this is so satisfying to watch, best track video ever

the microphone on the outside is a fantastic idea. I knew it sounded a bit loud on the inside but I didn't think anything of it. Really gives one hell of a viewing and listening pleasure to hear the car in its full demonic glory
