Neve's acting really sold it for me here. There's a reason Sidney has become such an iconic horror movie character

This proves that no matter what happens to Sidney, it will always be that initial trauma of her mother's murder that will break her. So brutally sad. Neve Campbell is an acting genius.

I honestly don't get why some people hate scream 3 so much. It's such a fun movie to watch despite all the issues it has and despite the fact that it's definitely the worst in the franchise. I still enjoy it and I don't mind all the stuff they did wrong.

What Are you Talking about I Love Watching Scream 3?

I had chills this entire sequence even the music is the same when she runs up stairs and into her room I love scream so much can’t wait til January 14th. Sidney became so aware by now how to deal with ghostface as best she could. I couldn’t imagine being in her shoes how she looked over her shoulders all these years im sure ya know. Doesn’t matter how long she is so bad ass

It’s also the same music as Gale’s chase scene in Scream 2, just before she tries opening all the doors, which is my favourite ever chase scene in any movie.

@@ajfoodiesaiyan I loved the part where she’s trying to hide from ghost face in the sound room going from pad to pad man I would be so scared praying he would go the opposite way to look for me while going from one thing to hide from the next. Hail ghost face. One of the best killers in horror history. They did such a great job paying homage to the previous films wes did. He would be so proud today. May he RIP I just love the fact they use the same music all thru the movies. It just makes the current scene that much better ya know. It makes us think of the other scream movies I love when movies do this.

Roman Bridger was a seriously underrated Ghostface. He uses physiological torture on Sidney to a massive degree. He really messed with her, this scene is evidence enough. Not to mention that he’s the only Ghostface who worked alone. The others all had at least one partner.

This is Literally a "Blast from the Past".

Scream 3 has the best Sidney character arc. She is completely traumatised by her life right from the beginning of the movie, living in total isolation (before it went cool like Laurie Strode in the Halloween requel trilogy and Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi), having nightmares and flashbacks of her past trauma, completely a shell of a human, and how she overcame it by the end of the film and move on. Neve Campbell conveys so much vulnerability and silent strength in her performance, and that’s what makes a great hero, the ultimate underdog that people can relate to with her weakness and cheer when she finally gets up and move on!

I always have a chuckle at the cop that's like "there's no body up here" like he's in disbelief Syndey was attacked like the killer is just gonna be chillin in the same place he just attacked her in. Like hmmm he probably ran away when all the lights and cops ran in, so yeah you're obviously not gonna find anyone. Stupid.

Neve Campbell's acting here is master class.

I LOVE Scream 3 I don't understand why it was the worst. I love the backstory.

The third movie made fun or 'rewrites' and last minute changes, and that's also why this movie is the worst in the franchise. Like here we can see it was supposed to be 2 different killers like the one was hiding inside the house, but at the end it was changed to only be Roman, and on a rewatch just nothing makes sense, "oh I guess he teleported". This is just one example, rewrites tend to make shitty movies even if this movie had a few good bits here and there.

I think people/fans got used to having 2 killers instead of 1, and when 1 killer can pull off what two killers can usually do, it's hard to convince the audience/fans that Roman did everything without help, unless one puts the new theory in play: Angelina Tyler was the 2nd Killer and Roman betrayed her, killing her before the reveal; sort of like, how Nancy Loomis shot Mickey and betrayed him.

I feel bad for Sidney Prescott. She can’t catch a break.

The reason that happens in Scary Movie is because they're making fun of Cici doing it in Scream 2.

Love how Sydney knocks some chips off the crafts table as she runs off LOL like that’ll slow down the killer. But such a fun movie! I loved it!

When I first seen this movie, I tried to think I figured during this scene that clearly whoever ghostface was had to have been a close productor of the house for the movies as he got into that closet so fast then under that quilt even faster without sid seeing 'em do so. I actually didn't think of Roman but should've straight from the start especially to the fact that he was the one talking to Sarah before using ghostface's voice changer.

In the original script; Roman and Angelina were both the killers, and they planned their positioning in such a way that while Sidney was dealing with Ghostface in one part of the set, the other was getting in position in another part. Then when Sid would deal with one the other would spring out as though it had super human speed and the first would get in position for the next jump in the attack. Even in the final act while one Ghostface is trying to get in the library the other one (the one Sidney shot) was in the secret room. But last minute they decided to have 1 killer and it made a lot of the scenes they shot physically impossible without superhuman abilities

And to help out with your story, I saw a KZread video where someone broke down Scream 3 if Angelina was the 2nd killer and here what they came up with: Roman (0:00-0:16) Angelina (0:25-0:58) Roman: @ 0:16 after Sydney gets away Roman is suppose to take a back staircase to Maureen's bedroom, and set himself up under the sheet, and wait for his cue. Angelina: Angelina is to chase Sidney while Roman sets up the sheet trap. @ 0:55 after Sidney tosses Angelina on the bed bellow, she is then given the cue by Roman to leave the set. Once she leaves, she ditches the costume, and meets up with her costar Tyson to secure her alibi, while Roman finishes Sidney off in Maureen's room. It's all very intricate, and fascinating. Also supposedly in the original script Roman, and Angelina would communicate to each other under the costumes with headsets connected to walkie talkies, JUST LIKE the ones crew members use on movie sets. 😊

Hey hey I disagree a tad. I mean. I love this movie as much as a lot of fans don’t like it. I thought it was freaking awesome. And yeah duh of course the legends make it worth it but the other charecters had good roles to I loved Roman he was hella funny wish he didn’t have to die. And what’s her face who plays gale she was hilarious to and also cotton damn what a great beginning to start off scream 3 so yeah this movie was bad ass. It was so awesome to find out she had a half brother and he was the killer. I really loved this movie

Yes it does. Dewey was a consultant for the details (including the basic layouts of the house) and Gale also explained it in her book. Roman as a director went for full fidelity (and even then it's a set, some doors lead nowhere)

I wouldn't really say so. Roman is the director so he has his easy ways around the set. Heck, he could've made secret entrances and exits for this purpose. I mean, this scene would make more sense if he had a partner though but I wouldn't say this scene makes it look that way.

This is a seriously underappreciated scene in the Scream movies, particularly the 3rd movie which is considered the black sheep of the franchise

Neve hands down does her best acting across the series in this one. This is where I truly fell in love with Sidney because you get to see the trauma really impact her. And TBH scream 3 is not the worst. They're all so good and do their part in the series.

Haven't you watched the movie? In the first film the door was locked, Sydney tried to open it but failed, so was forced to ran above. In the third film, it is useless to try to run outside. She locked the door, but ghostface get inside. She won't get enough time to open the door and close it again and even if she did ghostface could catch her. Sydney is way badass than average humans(but still have fear). Many humans, under such murderous pressure could not even see the easiest way out and their panic would lead them to be prey.

Many people don't know that there are two killers in this scene, Roman and Angelina. Prior to this attack Sidney caught Angelina about to put on the costume and Angelina covered it up by saying she wanted it as a souvenir. Angelina faked her death at the end of the film and is so far the only accomplice to get away with her crimes.

This is my best line 😎 where Sid is attacked and she always know to defend 👐 herself and beat's 👊 up any Ghostface who tries to kill her.

Obviously 2 killers here unless the door had a ghost pushing on it. I like this movie even I know most don't but not revealing Angelina as one of the killers seems strange. I also knew there were 3 as she just knock gf down stairs so who's pretending to be her mom right before she fell out the window.

They need to add Sidney in Dead By Daylight.

@@miiguel3550 3 was a lazy retcon of 1 and had an underdeveloped character that Sidney never even interacted with as the killer. Roman came out of nowhere and served nothing. The motive was decent but poorly executed. 3 had the best version of Sidney. But also the worst kills in the series. The social commentary on dark Hollywood was great. Jennifer Jolie was the only new character that was interesting and had great fashion. 4 was cunt. Good kills. Great commentary on internet clout and the lengths people will go to get it. Jill and Kirby were awesome. A parody of remakes being subverted by the new final girl being the killer was way more sickening than a secret long lost sibling. Any movie can do that cringe shit.
