Your “ugly” fabric is actually pretty!!
Awesome, love this. Thank you for sharing ❤
Great idea to use up 2 1/2” scraps
I’m going to add this to my summer projects. Need to start going through my scrap bins and build the stash 😊
This is a wonderful idea and pattern, thank you so much! Also, your tips and hints were very helpful for me.
Another great block, thank you Lori
I really like this!! Thank you!
Spool blocks are my favorite. Thanks for the detailed information.
I love all your ideas and tutorials thanks again
❤❤❤ lovely. Thanks for sharing xx
Thank you for your wonderful tutorial and the pattern.😊
Thank you. This is a wonderful idea. I really can use this.
Nice!
Love this and I'm cutting up dozens of 2.5" strips for the 16-patch Delight and a Firecracker. This is perfect, for the leftovers. :)
Lori, I love you! I have your 16/9 patch under construction. And I need a spool quilt for my recliner. Notice I need this spool quilt. Thank you so very, very much. 😍😍😍 🦄
❤❤❤
Thank you for the video, very grateful for your generosity in sharing your knowledge and creativity. Just a question about your books, are they available as PDFs please? I live in Australia and the cost of P&P is so prohibitive I can't afford to buy physical books/patterns from outside Australia any longer. I enjoyed watching and learning more about "scrapping fabric" to make scrappy quilts. Like most novice, wannabe quilters I started collecting FQs for my "retirement hobby" many years before actually retiring and now have a lot of FQs I don't know what to do with. Some of the really ugly ones (no idea what I was thinking when I purchased them) I have turned into lined drawstring shoe bags for gym shoes.

Debee, Great idea for your ugly FQ's ! Love it! I don't have PDF's of my books; however, you can find my "Speedy Solutions to Cut/Organize Your Scraps" and the corresponding Scrappy Patterns books out on Amazon Kindle (Australia). Although I do not ship products out of the country, I wanted to be sure my books were available for those who live in other countries; hence, I have made them available on Kindle! thank you so much for watching my channel! I have more fun patterns & videos I will be posting when I get home to Illinois this next week! Enjoy & happy Quilting!
❤
If you think a fabric is ugly you haven't cut it small enough. The 9 patch in the middle could be 1/4 triangles. Then only the general color of a portion of the square shows, and that might be enough to make you happy. ))).
Another wonderful tutorial 😊 do you starch your fabrics? If so, when do you starch?

I starch the fabrics with Mary Ellens Best Press before I scrap them up. (You can see my process in my video … Speedy solutions to Cut & Organize my scraps! Link here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/a5-Vr8R-YLy5lrA.htmlsi=N4KwOahTl0Q6KnB8 Enjoy!!

@@quiltingwithlori thank you 😊
I just made this block and NOTHING lined up. I had to actually cut down that middle section to fit both ends of the spool. Not sure what I did wrong. 😢

So sorry you had trouble putting your block together. Be sure to check measurements of the squares and the rectangles. Also, double check your seam allowances. Keep practicing and I'm sure you will get it just perfect!
