Put some dish soap in a little water then brush around both side of the rim/tyer. Mate used to be a tyre fitter, helps lots when putting on, taking off tyers😉

This was a great long video with three major items processed. Those brass chandeliers are getting you a scrap value of almost 100 dollars means when they were bought from the shop, they would have cost the buyer more than 10 times over. You still got brass pipe fittings, tire valves to add to.

Those rim crushers are just log splitters. I used to work at an auto wreckers in my younger years and thats all we used for the scrap rims and tires. Was so much faster then having our tire shop take them off with the machine

I am trying to guess the weight of HMS when you do yard run. At an average of 25 pounds per rim, you got more than 3000 pounds of rims plus neighbor's frames minimum 500 pounds plus your other HMS will get you more than 4000 pounds. Once again a 4000 plus pound load in the bin. Looking forward to the yard run.

  • @CanadianTreasureHunter

Some rims might be 17 pounds & The bigger one can be 30+ I would average about 22 pounds

I had the good fortune to find a nice brass one last winter then a week later I found another one in a totally different place,I have no idea what they weighed as I’m still hoarding all my brass and copper. You had a really sweet vice there a week ago that was all sticky,if you can get it apart I would give it hell with oil and an emery cloth should be able to get it sliding smooth.
