Have lots of copper goodness in them. It is well worth removing the copper radiators and compressor motor for maximum profit. Scrap

So far this year I saved up 75 lb of copper bare bright I got 15 lb of brass and then I got 75 lb of clean aluminum 60 lb of bronze and my favorite thing I have is gold recovery I see it as a hobby and I tear it apart very quickly but I have come across 16 AC units that someone wants to give me for free so I've never done one so now I'm going to watch you doing

If you open those a/c compressors you will find that there is a bunch of copper inside them. Cut them open Grandpa

A way to access the steel bearings in the air hose is to cut off the outer sleeve, then the spring and bearings should be accesable.

I don’t even pickup air conditioners anymore. I don’t have anyone to recover the refrigerant and I’m not licensed. I wish I could because I can get a lot of them and they pay pretty good

If u can find A/c company that U can contact out by breaking down there stuff and cash it in for them. And this how I open my door to scrap any A/c units My recovery machine is a 5000 BTU window unit With front evaporator removed. And i solder in some shreader valves so i cam hook up my hosees and every 6 month i call the A/c company to send out a truck to recover R22 and R410 A from new empty 300 gallon propane tank. And Show scrap yard my recovery slip as well.

So I have a small window unit I acquired the other day and dismantled most of it. Should I turn the rads in as is? The last one I did I tore them all apart and got ALL the copper out of the radiators by, pretty much cutting all of the aluminum around it. I mean it worked and I ended up with a ton of aluminum thin shavings around which I just threw into my clean aluminum bin... but is it worth more to take them in as is?

Cut the ends off take them as they are. It’s worth more. You’ll make more money. You won’t spend all that time tearing it apart.
