    Melissa you are the most thorough crafter that I've watched. You give great step by step details. I love watching your videos. Can you please do a video on using alcohol ink or something similar to get the swirl effect? I know you've done one for the marble effect but I just love how alcohol ink swirls with the white or black swirls looks. I am afraid to use epoxy so an alternative using BriteTone would be awesome! Thanks!

    There is a white option for the tumblers you use. Would they work instead of having to prep and paint the stainless ones? How many coats of Brite Tone total did you do? Thank you in advance for your help. Love your videos!

  • @MelissaCrafter

    @MelissaCrafter

    Thank you! 😊 If you are talking about the pre-prepped tumblers that you can purchase on websites like thesteelmagnolia.com then yes you can use those. Those come sanded and spray painted. There’s the ones that you can find at retail stores like Walmart that come in different colors and those won’t work. Those come powder coated and won’t work well with brite tone. On this tumbler I did about 12-14 coats on it.

    Absolutely love your videos. My question is do you sell these? If so, because it takes days to finish are they worth the time to make? They are beautiful but don''t see how you can make any money. Do you just do it for personal gifts? Thanks

  • @MelissaCrafter

    @MelissaCrafter

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks so much! 😊 you can definitely make money selling tumblers. Although these take days to make..you can make multiple tumblers at the same time (Depending on the amount of spinners you have). I’ve seen people work on over 10 cups at the same time. Which typically sell for around $45-$55 each. Sometimes maybe more. It just honestly depends on the time you have to put into it. Hope this helps 😊

  • @jeldisney22

    @jeldisney22

    Yes, I agree. The market is SATURATED with lots of people making these. I would find it hard to believe that they are still selling fir $45-$55. Plus how long does it take to sell? You also have to consider the holding costs. I doubt they fly off the shelf. I hope I am wrong, but doubt it.

    I have a cup edger from Wicked Shimmer. I was thinking that if you set it to the lowest level, it will trim off a tiny bit to expose the steel. And when u add "epoxy" it will seal. I only use epoxy, so it will be the equivalent of this non epoxy system.

    Hello so I have one of those water bottles from Walmart that are like $1.00. I had plans to spray paint it black and then add glitter to it seal with a spray gloss and then add a water Decal to it. Will brite tone work well to seal the whole cup to have that beautiful glossy finish once it is cure. Since I am pregnant and I have 1 month left, I do not want to use epoxy to sela it because I have read a lot of health issues that people have had with it. Please I am looking for an alternative to have my cup still have like this nice glossy look just like how cups do with the epoxy. Will the Brite tone be good to use for what I plan to do.
