Scrapbook Layout # 324/Double Page (Mercy Tiara Kits/Sunshine)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, I create a double page, sketch inspired layout featuring the SUNSHINE KIT from Mercy Tiara Kits. I stretch a 12X12 Kristine Davidson (Creative Scrappers) sketch into a 24X12 layout.

Thank you for the vellum printing trick. I had been wasting so many new sheets for one journal box. I have enough vellum scraps for all of us!

Wow, another amazing tutorial on do an amazing LO! I LOVE the tip on printing your journaling on copy paper and then adhering nicer paper to it so it comes out exactly where you wanted it🤯 I can't tell you how many times I have to play (time waste) around or waste good paper or clear labels this is a game changer! I loved that you said you didn't feel the need to ink the edges of all the papers bc you like the clean edge look on them. I always stress out if I forget or only ink some so this makes me happy! Great layout showing how to use busy background papers to look amazing. LOL, I am a horrible fussy cutter!! I really have to be in the mood.EEEK, added lots of sequins to the flowers another 🤯 Such a great LO, congrats on making your goals! TFS and INSPIRING as always Dorothy❣

Thank you! I am with you on fussy cutting. I'm at least "trying" it now, permitting myself to skip all of the detailed pieces. It's safe to say that many of my fussy cut pieces have been generously trimmed!

Thanks for sharing your thought process with each step. Your layout turned out beautiful and I love the colours you've used. I also print my journaling onto my scraps the same way you mentioned. I remember seeing the idea on a video quite a few years ago. It has saved me wasting so much paper and it means I can also use journaling cards/pocket cards the same way as I don't always like my handwriting on all my layouts.

Another awesome layout & tutorial. Thank you for sharing how you use smaller pieces of card stock or vellum to print your journalling on. I do most of my journalling on the computer so this was a wonderful tip!

Really beautiful layout, Dorothy! I find it so clever that you added the sneaker and sunglasses to your floral clusters. A great idea. I also like how you added sequins to the fussy cut flowers. I often don’t know what to do with sequins. Jeannine

Another amazing LO Dorothy, I’m not a very good fussy cutter either but I always attempt to try thinking I’ll get better lol! Maybe I just don’t have the right scissors for it. Loved the greenery you used and your tutorials are always very interesting and provide so much inspiration. Thanks my friend for sharing and have a wonderful evening. 💕

Thanks Debi. I find the Tim Holtz scissors with big, black loopy finger holes work best for me. (I have 2 pairs...12" blades and 6" blades...give or take. The smaller ones work best for me....but I'm still not very good at it!) Thanks for watching!
