I love your videos. You are real and very creative. As much as I enjoy watching the Ginas, Lauras and Jennifers, but they seem to be plugging products, and have all the new stamps and dies, and some of us have a limited budgets.
Love the way your topper is the same size of your cardstock......much easier way than having an edge showing...'W's other half
💛 Hey JD. In the '80s I revived my paper crafting. I began using my favorite vintage quilting patterns reproduced with colored paper on greeting cards. A lot of fussy cutting done ! Keep up the paper crafting videos. We ❤ these. 🙋 Nana in se OK usa
I guess I forgot to hit the comment button when I wrote one last night! All of the colour combos and designs were really effective!! Just watched the end again so I could sketch the design options. You are the first person to mention electronic die cutting machines for cardmaking of anyone I have watched on KZread. Would absolutely love some videos using one. I own a Cricut and am just making friends with it.
WOW! You are a breath of fresh air! Love your ideas! Where have you been!!! We miss you! These cards are gorgeous!
The black card bases struck me immediately before you even started speaking. I love your color combos and it really is a phenomenal video.
I find it hilarious that you used your machine to cut out strips lol And even funnier that there is a die which cuts strips as well. These cards turned out great!
I agree....cutting off the extra paper....there is just something so satisfying about it....and it IS like giving a haircut 💇♂️...LOL
Brilliant!...scraps and patience are all you need. Black card stock is my go to...ALWAYS...lol
Love this, also a paper shredder is good for strips (if you want to keep them the same width that is), you have now made me want to cut up strips 🤦🏼♀️🙆🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤣 thanks JD.... 👌
You are so adorable and talented! Miss you like crazy!!! PLEASE come back!!!
You knocked it out of the park! Awesome job on all those cards!
You’ve taken cardstock strips to a whole new level!! Thank you!!
JD These cards are absolutely stunning. You’ve come a long way baby.
Hey cute girl! FUN CARDS!!! I love them all!!! & YES! I'd love to see card making videos with a cricut or silhouette!!
My favourite thing from this video is the idea of smooshing off the excess glue for the die cut sentiment! I've struggled with messy liquid glue and it never dawned on me to smoosh off the excess on scrap paper - when I saw it on the video, it seemed so obvious! Apparently not. :) Thank you for all of these ideas. As with most of us, I have loads of scraps that I couldn't bring myself to throw away ("I might need them some day") and now I have the motivation to do so!! :)
I would love some cameo videos and yes for more black card stock 😍 your cards came out really cool!
YOUR CARDS ARE EXCEPTIONALLY BEAUTIFUL!!!
Beautiful card colors and cards are fantastic. I don’t have the patience to do this anymore
Loved the little squares card. It reminds me of a quilt. You could use pastels and make a baby card!🥰
Fab-You-Lusss! Love your glamorous designs. You really went for it! I recently got shiny black cardstock from Erin Lee Designs, and you’ve inspired me to use some of it for large word dies/alpha dies like your Hey sentiment. One was better than the next! I began cutting some strips with my largest paper cutter, DH heard rhythmic cutting and asked what I was doing in the craft room. I said, Making Strip Cards, to which he replied Please Don’t Send One to My Mother! 🤪
I love making card fronts with my scraps. You are a champ though to make that many in 2 days! I poop out after 2 cards😊 Great to see your beautiful smile...hope you and your family are all staying safe & healthy
I am SOOOOOO doing this!!!!! What a brilliant idea! I have SO MANY scrap pieces of paper! Thank you for this video!!!
Everyone more beautiful than the last!!
Stunning! Try running them through an embossing folder. Takes them to a whole new level! Thanks for a wonderful video.
Love the black card fronts. I think it brings out the vibrancy of the colour card strips more. Great ideas for using card strips and scraps. Thanks for sharing!
I'm loving your Cricut card making tutorials. Please keep them coming.
Always looking for ideas for masculine cards. These are perfect! Thanks, JD!
I'D, you are very creative with all these scraps. ♥️
Boy, you hit the ground running with this video. I have been playing with strips of paper since I bought the dies, but cutting them on the Cricut sounds ALOT easier. I have not only been mixing the colors of the stripes but also the width...I throw a 1/8” gold strip in amongst the colors, really gives it some punch. Thanks for your great idea’s. It got me fired up to give it another shot.
Just wow. I don't know which one I like best. They are all truly special! Such labors of love.
All of those cards are Super Cute!! You're right...cutting the excess off was so satisfying to watch!! Great technique for scraps. TFS!💗
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽what a great way to spend time just creating different designs with strips. I loved all your cards and that black hi die cut was so sharp. I’ll ck down below to see where you got it. Great job.
This paper strip tutorial is the absolute best that I have seen! You gave so many different examples of designs. Love, Love, Love it! Thank you! I'd like to see your creations of die cutting the panels of strips rather than using the whole panel as a card front. Just want to pick your creative brain. :)
On a Jennifer McGuire video, she got the idea from one of her viewers: if you have a basic paper shredder-one that shreds vertically in 1/4" increments, you'll have a ton of strips. Genius tip from her !
This is an awesome video. Your designs are beautiful and still doable. You’re right, trimming off the scrappy edges of the card = satisfying 😆
What a great idea to use up paper scraps! Different textures would look awesome too.
I love you and your humor! It may or may not be because I have the same sense of humor....😆
Thanks for showing us the finished cards first. Great ideas 👏🤩
I like the last one best! Love the scraps in an unusual order.
These designs are awesome! Love more ideas for using my scrap stash.
Sorry I’m just seeing this video, but WOW! These cards are beautiful! Great job! Thanks for sharing!
Love your ideas!!! And yes, BLACK CARDSTOCK is the new Nina white haha 👍
These are all wonderful cards; shared this on Facebook for all my scrapbook and card-making friends. Thanks
These cards are so fun! I can see how addictive it would be once you have the strips cut. There's just no end!
Clever! Those strips are gorgeous on black.
yes i would love to a video featuring an electronic die cut machine. your cards are amazing!
These cards are awesome! I would love to see videos on electronic cutting machines. Great idea for these cards! Thank you so much for sharing.
Yes! I want to see more ideas with an electronic cutting machine!! I don’t have a die cutting machine, only a cricut and all the youtube card makers uses the die cut
Well JD, you really out did youself w/this one! Unique and fantastic! Thanks Lady.
Love, love these cards.Thank you for this.I can't wait to try these and I think I'm going to get the kids to help me with these.
I am a year late finding this site! Your cards are all beautiful. Thanks for the video!
There are some awesome ideas here for using up scraps of card. I have a whole drawer full of scraps which are crying out to be used and this has given me some great ideas :)

Still my favorite cardmaker! Love the wave card!
Love all the different ways you used the straps, awesome cards!
More cards with electronic die cutter please!
I love cutting the overhang off too!
Great job! I’m not a scrap paper person, but you maybe changed my mind! Love the designs!
Wow, your scrap cards are awesome! I've done cards from strips in the past, but these designs are super fancy and cute😍
These are really, really attractive cards. They are also very labor-intensive. I hope so to receive your cards recognize what a labor of love you have put into them.
All amazing cards. Beautiful colour coordination and shapes. Congratulations - a brilliant video.
I have a box of scraps cut into strips and you just gave me great inspiration on how to use them. Thank you for the beautiful cards.
Love your videos and your personality! I’ve been cutting strips for years with the paper trimmer, but DUH, I have a cricut, and design so many things, not sure why I haven’t used it to cut strips before! Used for circles, squares, triangles, hearts..... again, DUH. Thanks.
I have used strips to weave a card front. Will use this method now. Thank you for Sharing.
I love your videos !!!! To cut scrap paper use a paper shredder to cut a heap of strips in one size
20 thumbs up for this fantastic video. You have changed up your style and I really love it.
Love these! Simple, but packs a colorful punch! TFS!
Fabulous! Definitely going to make some "strippy" cards! Love your videos.

First crafting supply to go in quarantine is black card stock. Yes I didn't know I liked it just as much as you do. I have been wanting to do more strip cards and this is inspired me like crazy I just need to cut more because I think cutting as well as trimming is so amazing.
All your videos are beyond amazing! You are wonder woman! 🧚
These are beautiful and make special cards.Thank you for sharing.
Great pattern play! The color scheme reminds me of Amish quilts, both muted and luminous. I'm glad you and your sense of humour are back! Ute, Stephans wife
Love love love 💜💜💜💜💜 your work, and love your colors you used against the black cardstock.❣❣❣
Are you sure you’re not a closet quilter? Your reader’s comment about how these designs resemble Amish quilts is spot-on. Gorgeous results! Each one a gem. I appreciate the different ways to cut strips. They need to be precise. TFS your talent!
Every one of these cards is amazing. I love your sense of design and construction. Thank you for sharing.😷
I would really love to see videos on making cards using an electronic cutter. I haven’t found ANY so far.
A great way to get lots of strips quickly is a paper shredder. All the strips are the same size, no cranking, and the trash can catches everything!
JD, this blew me away. The greatest part was how inexpensive it was. Didn’t need all kinds of dies or stamps, didn’t really need a die cutting machine. How fun and authentic these cards are. Only you JD! Tfs. Blessings to you and your family.
I'm floored, those are just beautiful, JD...I am heading off to make some now!
These are amazing!!! I was watching a bunch of Jennifer McGuire videos and she was using up her scraps for strip cards. One of her viewers suggested using a paper shredder to make strips😻
Fabulous cards! So pretty in the jewel tones.
Hi JD, watching you affix all those strips is mesmerizing. I love the final results, you have inspired me. Thank you x
