So much options available now...

So, in every video so far, Axolot has hinted at the next announcements they'll make. In the last video for the Weld Tool, they hinted at character customisation. Here, I think it's survival they're hinting at - the skull, the toaster, the clock (And the teeth brushing) the fishing scene with the sunrise backdrop, they all relate to food/survival and a day/night cycle.

Yeah, they all give a hint of "Survivalness" :P like the shark... thing... that comes out of the water to maybe even atack you? interesting for sure... Maybe that hints at Water? i have no idea. maybe thinking to deep.

at 0:26 a strang object is hidden behind the pistons and when the charachter is in the elevator there are some letters on the doors that could mean something

letters on doors is floor number. they're inverted (e.g. 5,4,3,2) because devs builded this elevator under ground (I think). strange object is just a black big barrel

lmao I saw some people saying this game doesn't get updates and that was from 3 years ago which was true but look where we are now.

Y'know, it was a long time coming, but I have to say it was really worth the wait given how spectacularly you guys implemented it into the game. I'm super happy with how it functions!

That doesn't really fit the scrap mechanic atmosphere/ambient. And besides, you can just build or look up a flying creation.

Jelle Schep, I was thinking the same thing xD Adde21 30, You're partially right. If it wasn't for the context you were completely right. Making a game is indeed really hard and time consuming. But they've said they were working on this feature one and a half year ago. They are working with really inexperienced programmers, a really bad game engine or they've been focussing on a lot of unimportant stuff (like adding music blocks or toilets). There is a lot to say, but I doubt they can give one decent reason why the development is so slow.

Animiles I believe that they have changed engines a while ago and I believe that they've been getting new people, so hopefully that'll move along development quite a bit. And they've been bloging the updates, just those updates were pretty small with the subtext that survival mode is moving along quickly. I also mostly skim through they're updates anyways, so I'm probably missing something that they did or said. I was pretty excited when they announced the update for the piston sometime earlier, but naturally, I'd like there to be more big updates. I'm just not entirely sure about your whole, " it doesn't matter that making games is hard, because they promised a feature over a year ago." they were very near starting development back then, or were they not? And naturally the shitty engine had to be changed, right? So would it have been better _not_ to do that? It's not like they _haven't_ been updating the game since then, just that they weren't making KZread updates about it, which means that they've been doing nothing this entire time, I guess.

They are working on Survival mode. they want it Perfect. thats why its taking long. they don't want a buggy mess they said. they are also working on full mod support so we can make mods in survival so we cajnand maybe even make minigames mods like garry's mod. they are not doing nothing.

Animiles They've shown off many things that they're working on, they do have a site that they post updates on, not everything is _just_ on KZread. But I'm also worried that it'll take years to get a more finished product. I'm hoping that survival mode will be later this year, I'll understand if it's next year, but it'll be disappointing to say the least.

To be honest, I lost my hopes of a survival mode to be added at all. I know they've added quite a bit of stuff, but I feel like they've lost focus of what the game is about. The main focus is about engineering and making huge machines. But instead they've added a toiler, music blocks and a few other useless but somewhat fun things. The addition of the welding tool and logic gate block thing have been great additions as well. But the frequency that they add usefull stuff like this doesn't keep people playing. But what drove me away from the game was the small world and massive performance issues. And the driving mechanics on land are really bad. (the last time I played was about 2 months ago). I honestly think it would be a good idea to scrap scrap mechanic and start over with a new game engine. They've learned a lot in the process, and they can use that to start off with a better optimised game. As long as they keep the core idea the same I think they could make something amazing. disclaimer: I do not know the internals of the company, how much time they spent before the game was released in early access and what problems they are facing. My opinion is based on the knowledge I got from my study (I followed a minor gamedesign) and on the things I see them release. If you disagree with me I do like to hear why, and it would be awesome if you could give the source of your information :)

Me, hell i got this game when it was almost 1 year old

is survival mode close to being finished

0:24 is my favorite

it so cool , everyday i look at the steam scrapmechanic new , ... nothging.. and i was like , hm the game iss so cool , but , when is something gonna happen , and *BOOM* it happend

Just please allow multiple inputs and outputs on all possible mechanisms like timers and logic gates, why can't i have output on one timer to several pistons and another timer at the same time, but i can do it separately? I hope you understand what i am talking about.
