Honestly, I think this bus is chill. It may shake you up a bit, but it’s nice! Always picks up and drops off on time, never breaks street safety laws, and saves the school a lot of money. Just let it stay.

Well there's nothing they can do to contain it currently and there's no garantee that shutting the school down will stop it or even attach it to another school. At least the bus has made no visable attempts to kill anyone.

A great example of how the SCP classification system truly works. They measure how easy something is to contain, rather than how dangerous it is. Thus, a Safe scp can be extremely deadly, while a Keter one can be quite harmless. Great video as always!

I love the fact that this SCP contains itself because of children naturally adapting to the norm and the school not caring because its cheap

This SCP is a pretty nice reminder that the Keter class only refer to SCPs that are very difficult to contain, not the super dangerous ones. Yes, most of the time the difficulty in containing an entity comes directly from the level of threat it poses but still.

This is the easy route that our grandparents sometimes took on their way to school.

Coming from a small town, i can verify that yes. People would definitely let the bus do its job if everyone was safe and the bus is a “hard worker” which still kinda means something out here. But i can so easily see a school or my school letting this slide xD There were not hell aliens, i feel lied to but thats fine as long as its another scp

Does anyone else feel like this SCP entry is low-key a metaphor about our desensitization to violence/horrible events across the world due to being exposed to them via social media and the 24-hour news cycle and our ability to trivialize these things as long as they're seemingly far away from us? Those kids became so desensitized to being in that "Hell world" because it became normalized through repetition over time even though a very thin wall (the bus) was what separated them from the horrors outside. I think the bus itself represents social media/news. It's driven by and invisible driver who despite not being "real" in the physical sense, it still follows a set of rules that allows it to guide them through traffic and the Hell-World respectfully. (Like a social media algorithm) And if no one is paying attention it'll make them pay attention by putting on its sirens. (Like breaking news stories) and the community just excepts it kind of like a law of nature and don't see any issue with it and are content in being manipulated by this invisible force. (Like us casually accepting that social media companies via their algorithms take our data with our tacit consent and use it to build profiles of us so they can tailor our experience and manipulate us into paying attention to certain things or to market/sell us products. And the social media companies design them to specifically be addictive and self-replicating.) Also, let that bus break down in the middle of that Hell-world and their tunes of it being "normalized", yet "cool, exciting, and entertaining" would change real quick. I think this SCP entry is speaking about us here in the West. But, I'm just talking shit. What do ya'll think?😅😂

No my friend, you definitely do get it, a lot of others didn’t, or are just scared to admit it. The only thing wrong about the bus is the fact that no one got so desensitized and manipulated by the evil out there and started to attack their fellow bus riders on the bus, or someone evil already being on the bus (school shooter). Evil is not only all around them outside the bus, but it can also be on the bus with them too. The fact that many people in the comments are saying that it’s just a relaxing harmless and fun ride on this bus, definitely proves your theory right about how everyone is desensitized and could possibly make you a little bit more cautious while out and about.

If this had any symbolism it would be more just the terrors of the world we are living in, not the manipulation but much more we are getting used to horrible stuff. But there is no connection to media it is more just "yeah it is what it is". I got frustrated honestly reading your "theory" just cause you made it about media which added a false layer of depth. The whole point is, new girl to a community gets to experience a scp that puts em through a hellscape, all the other kids are experienced and used to it at this rate so there is nothing weird. The barrier of safety is thin and clearly not to be fully trusted but it has not failed yet so why should they worry. @@ColdNorth0628 no Carlos, but I will say this, when some are shouting victory and tearing down small businesses and setting fire to places that have some people still inside those places, that could be a dream scenario come true for one side of people, because they feel powerful and in their minds they are tearing down the societal norm that the government built, but the other side of people are experiencing real terror and are confused by what’s going on, because they would try to talk the people destroying their small stores and property, but they ignore their pleas and continue to destroy. My point is this, at what point do we stop seeing each other as humans?? I don’t agree with the right or the left, I’m just one of the poor suckers that gets up for third shift late nights to go to his job to make money just to survive. I’m the guy who is caught in the middle of the crossfire along with many others. Well everyday there is different between social media and reality at least for me. There are f up news and things shown in social media, but when I’m outside, everything around me is normal. So there is that. It is not like I’m unaware of those things. It exists some place some where but it is not like it exists everywhere all the time. So worrying about it too much is useless.

Maybe the bus is so safe because, in the “Hell Reality” it takes its passengers, it has full control over its environment, while back here it can’t affect the world nearly as strongly. It’s like a Reality Warper that used its ability, traumatizing as it can be, to take its passengers through what is objectively a safer route home

So what happens if someone tries to leave the bus while it’s in “hell?” Does the “bus driver” get annoyed if the students are being particularly disruptive or loud? Will the foundation give amnestics to students who graduate/leave the school? Is the bus immune to outside stressors while the students are inside? If the bus capacity is full to the brim with adults, how will it get rid of adults to fill the seats with children? After a certain point, will it use its powers to deter adults from entering?

Figured that giving my point of view on it might help. 1 Maybe it honks on lower frequency or uses something similar to what it uses to put people into a trance to get on the bus so they will stay seated (in the video it doesn't show any of the kids moving around the bus when its in "hell" so this kinda supports the idea). 2 I don't think it cares. 3 seeing as how the community just rolls with it, I highly doubt it. 4 It seems intangible so maybe. 5 Probably honks to get some of them to leave. 6 Most likely yes.

I feel like the Bus wants to either change the Overall Image of Demons where some are good while others aren’t. While the demon is well a demon I like the idea that it's will not let a single person leave out of both being a professional and a sense of protection for those who it is driving for, and yes it's doing its job if it wont let you leave out of protection for you that's kinda wholesome

After all the dangerous skips that Dr. Bob has thwarted, running over zombs in the hell dimension with Christine seems rather tame. And I know that was Christine because no other car in its right mind would go there.

It's SCPs like this that let me know that I'm severely jaded, and desensitized due to trauma. Even more scarily, that we ALL are so jaded, and messed up that we can just listen to this story being told just fine as entertainment. WE are the kids on the bus when you think about the world at large right now, and this says more about society than anything else. I've never had an SCP make me question things so much, and it's really messing with me. 😰

I always have a soft spot for this scp. weird aspect that the school is used to and benefits them.

The scariest thing about this anomaly is that if you've ridden it, it knows exactly where you live.

Personal theory: Maybe 5853 is putting on shows for it's passengers? morbid af shows don't get me wrong, but maybe it's trying to keep them entertained during the long bus ride? It's not hostile towards the children, adults, or even the foundation, and seems to simply just enjoy it's work

This SCP sounds like a blast, I'd pay good money to board it!

I’m curious as to what would happen if someone leaves or attempts to leave the bus while in the dimension.

That's what i was also thinking.. but I have this thought too that the bus won't allow anyone to go out of it... It probably would close its door shut...and won't open till they arrive to their destination

@@Mo_Mauve I also have this theory why the monsters and anyone outside the bus doesn't attack or just ignored the existence of the bus that's literally passing by. The bus must have this Ability to cloak their existence.. like... Kinda like this God Like ability to just literally let obstacle ignore it's existence. Nothing can go near it.

@@ladycommentor2536 So if the door opens, it will look like a portal to the inside of a school bus just opened. So the obvious anomalousness would make the monsters & soldiers even more likely to attack.

In the SCP foundation, that would be extremely minor compared to many of the other anomalies

Hellbus is just basically just a better name for oppisitebus since pretty much everything is just opposite, normal world: sky: blue, police/swat: helpers, normal people: friendly, rats/spiders: small, hellbus realm: sky: red, police/swat: situation escalators/harmers, everyone: beat everyone to death attitude, rats/spiders: giant. It took a while to write this.

I think I've turned into a SCP video junkie. Sounds like SCP-3583 is a catastrophe waiting to happen 🤔. Either way, the Keter Class was fitting. Intriguing video from start to finish, excellent work once again.

The Keter class is only because it's almost impossible to contain, it has nothing to do with it's danger, which is actually very low.

A dead/vanished bus of kids is a pretty tame catastrophe by SCP standards. And that's only if something changes.

Even though it’s a Keter, I actually didn’t mind this one being protected by a school lol. I mean it doesn’t do any harm to any of the kids so consider this Keter to be pretty cool to ride in. This was a good one. Thanks Dr Bob!!! Ps I call shotgun next time lol

Honestly just leave the bus alone. It's contained itself in a specfic area, it seems easy to berid of any evidence of its existence or pass it off as a hoax, and it's kinda cool and helping out a school's fundings. Part of me wonders if the bus has any ill intent at all, but who knows really. The hypno horn could be a bit problematic at the least.

I think that the hellbus is a demon that’s trying to earn good credit with God, but can’t help but do a little torment on its routes because it’s still a demon. That’s my theory, at least.

idk about most schools but my school students had a set bus. like i would always take the same bus home and the buses even had lists of people that were allowed to ride each one

plot twist: a school buss driver died and went to hell but made a deal with the devil to be allowed to continue his work with the catch that he tours people through hell in hopes of raising tourism.

if 3583 is a person, it would be that one cool alcoholic and adventurous uncle

The bus looks like a 1948 Ford school bus, which is also the church bus in the video about the Tower of Babble. The truck Dr. Bob uses at the end also appears to be a 1967 Ford F100

In the SCP article it says that its Euclid not Ketter. Which makes sense since while impossible to contain it doesn't pose an actual threat to the populace and is actually helpful.

I absolutely love your way of storytelling in these videos, and i wanted to ask you if you could make videos about the different organizations in the SCP universe, as it is one of the more confusing parts in it. You could use your basic formula, tell a story about about a team for example, and then introduce the facts, as you usually do!
