@@incitingariot9925 technically, it was said in the video, and comparing what happened to subjects A and B it can be construed that as long as the water thats coming into contact with stuff is from the pool's main body of water it has those properties but if it's separated from the pool it's safe/normal

If it won't absorb things like food dye it wouldn't be safe to drink because the water in our bodies is mixed with a whole bunch of things, which this water refuses to do.

It's mostly just a gate/door the monsters use to come out of it, but I don't think the pool itself is necessarily "alive" or purposely calling out the monsters like so...

The thing actively responds to its containment. It is indeed sentient and not just randomly dropping out monsters. The multiple psychological attacks on personnel at the site are more than enough evidence.

Maybe they didn't know about the Eyes yet, but that the initial description for the anomaly was that it seems to kill people who look at glass/glass-like surfaces. And only when Wade experienced the incident firsthand the did the Foundation obtained actual description of the cause behind the "mysterious" death of people related to looking at glass/glass-like surfaces

Does anyone else feel like SCP is like bad Lovecraftian fanfiction? I mean it's not even as disturbing as 40k or as mind twisting as The Twilight Zone. As I'm watching it I'm just thinking like, 'who cares? the universe obviously doesn't', there's so many world ending and goofy monsters, it's the too-many-heroes-and-villains problem all over again like with Marvel Comics. It's just like, pick a random word and then make up an monster based on it while pretending its mysterious and compelling but its really not. At all.

Well its simply a mentality is it not? You can train yourself to essentially "not give a f--k" about what other people think. Are 056's effects universal and therefore impossible to counteract despite what you as a person would normally think? In that case, that would make the subject, like you said, an scp of its own, presumably with cognito hazard shielding abilities. If they were in northern Alberta, they were in an area with a lot of mines and the oil sands. So I would suspect that industry at the very least is aware of the pond. Another important source to consult with would be the First Nations in that treaty area, they know that land better than anyone and would absolutely know about the pond.

If that was meant to be an exoplanet in a red dwarf they are very lucky it wasn't tidally locked like most planets in red dwarfs. As for gravity suddenly flipping, it could be from the exoplanet having an axiel tilt that is way stronger than the earth's.

I think they're both based on a Scottish myth, the nuckelavee. In fact, Orcadian means something is from the Orkney Isles, and the nuckelavee has the same inability to cross fresh water like rivers as the orcadian horsemen do.

Definitely MTF… on site guards rarely deal with SCPs themselves, just the paranoia that The Shy Guy is right next to you.

You don't need the foundation to fing a mean to survive without eating. We use I.V.s for that, e.g. keeping comatose people alive despite their inability to eat.
