im pretty sure most humans would either fall into a deep depression or go mad... or probably both. all the entertainment option and psychiatrists in the world wont keep you from feeling that you loose your humanity and become like a rat in an experiment. getting rewards when you behave and punishment if you dont. i think we would loose any objective as we realise this will be our life... forever. wed loose our will to live but cant act on it and that realisation will slowly drive us mad. it might happen slower for some but i believe most humans whos mind were still sound when they were detained would end up at that point eventually

@@shattered9479 yeah they might understand you but you will be ripped from everyone you know, not beeing able to choose your own life, not being able to follow your ambitions. and at the end of the day they dont value you as a human but a tool that needs to be understood and used or discarded. I dont know maybe its just me but the fear i might never be able to see my family or friends again just for the prospect of beeing with people that understand me will never be worth it

I loved that letter 05-5 wrote at the end, there. It was genuinely so heartwarming. _(And nice, in a way, considering he didn't have to do that. He could've just wrote "get fucked nerd" and been on his way. Instead though, he at least gave the person reading a reason why they do what they do, and a very touching message about the Foundation's goals and motto)_ As it's been said before, the O5 Council - and the foundation as a whole - is cold, but _(usually)_ not cruel. In the end, they are trying to protect everyone, and show a bit of love and care to the truest of outcasts in the world.

Damn, this video has reignited my love of the scp mythos, "contain that which mankind does not know yet permit what they do know even if it leads to their destruction" alien and very human at the same time, it's so wonderfully paradoxical

On the one hand, sure, they do protect. On the other hand, some of their containment procedures for those innocent SCPs are needlessly harsh and/or cruel.

SCP-001 is true In it’s own respect each time, call it a passage of the multiverse. This is simply my belief and I have no real proof to back it up. Just that it seems likely each foundation would have a similar yet different backstory as to why they are the way they are.

There is no evidence claimed in the coverage of this guide that barks it as an anomaly it is just a normal document. Scp001 would need to be an anomaly or else it is not an scp.

Pretty ironic seeing SCP Foundation claiming for "securing, containing, and protecting" the anomaly after a video about a child mind-bending SCP used as a weapon for the SCP Foundation itself

They need to do SCP-001: O5-13. As it too touches on "How the O5 determine what is normal." But with the added aspect of "when the O5 are not normal themselves."

Wow, didnt expect this to get.. emotional. Like, how uplifting. 05 council, or at least no 5, really cares for everyone. No Matter how horrible they are. What a good man/woman

Well I didn't expect something that started like this to end so emotionally, and maybe part of that is because today was my birthday and I've just been sick, but damn di that hit hard. I love the sort of soliloquy at the end, and I love the grey this throws into what is often framed as a very 'black or white' discussion of if the scp is good or bad. We are all monsters indeed, but I do still love you. Happy Birthday or Unbirthday to everyone and I hope our consensus reality stays at least mostly positive :P

I'm glad ya'll upload with such quality and frequency, bc I'm hooked and almost gone through all the older ones since I started watching.

Considering that SCPs in this fantasy world likely existed since the dawn of time and, if the logic of this world is to be believed, used to coexist with humanity, it seems that the explanation given at the end is thin at best, evil at worst. In certain SCP cannons, it's shown that there can in fact be coexistence between the anomalous and the mundane worlds. The fact that there wasn't always this coexistence is likely due to the SCP Foundation and its predecessors being so evil that they wanted control and domination over them to secure their own power. I'm always annoyed when people try to make the Foundation "good," because every attempt only makes them even more evil.

By far the best idea for SCP-001 . You need to define what is normal first

For anyone wanting to access the actual document with 05-5's letter, click on the 05 access only button at the bottom and then click on ACCESS SCP-001. Then a prompt that asks if the black moon howls will pop up, asking for a specific password. The correct password is "no". Just make sure to allow pop ups from that site.

There’s got to be a section there that states: “Anything to do with Dr. Bright.” Is anomalous.

Huh, and here I was expecting an SCP that was the opposite of this, with people's beliefs affecting reality in some supernatural way, but this is way more interesting somehow.

For idk how many days or weeks now I’ve been spending my 8 hours at work doing nothing but listening to scp explained. I started at the first video in the whole 566 playlist and am now here. I think I’m 2 weeks into listening and now I’m waiting for my SCP Artbook set to come from kickstarter😂 can really zip thru this multiverse when you spend every work day listening to them ALL day

Considering she's Dr Bright's sister, I'm surprised SCP-321 hasn't popped up in more stories.

The voice acting on this one was really great.

That description of the isolation of anomalous beings because they are "different" felt a little too familiar. Nurodivergent, being out in public feels no different that going to the zoo for me, I see what they are doing and understand why but it is not natural to me so I have never felt a connection or sense of belonging.

This is basically there for benevelent or benign SCPs like the tunnel monster, cthulu, cactus man, etc. Sometime a box is there to keep everyone else out.

That redheaded guy with the SCP Expert mug should have his computer classified as an anomaly for it's ability to access the Foundations most secure and classified data.

Just remember the reality SCP-6001 Avalon exists. That version of the Foundation knew how to bring peace to the world.

That letter at the end becomes a lot funnier if you consider that this video came out one day after the Psychic Child Soldier video.

My idea of the O5 council is kinda inspired by the Black Moon story and a shitload of interesting theories others have thought up. The council doesn't exist. Every "individual" that seems to be referenced every now and then is just another figment of the Administrator's mind. A mind so old and vast that it's impossible to portray it as only one human. Also, the way Hunter portrayed these discussions between the council REALLY reminded me of the Think Tank in Fallout New Vegas. Completely straight-faced debate over the merit of ridiculous conspiracies.

This is an interesting SCP 001 entry that actually feels worthy of the SCP 001 title, unlike that stupid candle that genuinely could've been any other number.

05-5 letter was interesting though if they were really protecting anomalies then they’d treat them better (the nice ones) for example anomalous humans like Stella and iris. Stella is not called with even though it would help with her disability and her therapist was removed because he used the name and iris was used in missions against g.o.i

Honestly this makes more sense than any other 001 proposal. Day 239 of asking the O5 Council to use SCP-1968 to create a universe in which 682 doesn't exist.
