And that slow walk forward with briefly light-speeding to Knuckles, attacking and returning to his walking position just perfectly captures Scourge's personality.

Very cool and nice to see Knuckles not get treated like someone else's punching bag for a change. People forget that he's almost as fast as Sonic but much more powerful and durable with regen abilities. Not to mention his trademark moves from the Adventure series such as his Thunder Arrow, his own Light Attack from SA1 DX, and can Bypass Chaos Energy to hit Chaos Empowered opponents with his own. He's no slouch and more people need to put some respect on his name.

Absolutely agreed, it’s crazy that most people think all Knuckles can do is punch hard when that’s just scratching the surface. On top of all that, Knuckles has fought on par with Sonic more than once (and technically Shadow, Silver and Metal in Rivals). Which shows that even though he isn’t as fast as them, he at least has ftl reaction speed so he can keep up with faster characters in a fight regardless.

This video randomly showed up in my recommendations and I’m glad it did. This is a really solid animation! Everything from the dynamic shots to the intense fighting choreography was phenomenal. Great work. Subscribed.

Man this is UNDERRATED AS HELL. I love this animation, not only is it created with quality and surprisingly smooth fluidity, but this anim does Knuckles more justice than most Sonic sprite animators do nowadays. I do like how you combined Knuckles' electric energy with his fire fist to finish off Scourge. I also like how the battle wasn't just one-sided. In a contest of raw power, Scourge stands no chance without powering up, but when Knuckles powers up, he's gonna weigh you down with a fist greater than the one he used to knock the super out of Sonic Great animation!

The animation is so clean and fluid and I love seeing my boy knuckles get the win he deserves his power gets undermined way too much, the music used is also incredible, all in all a top quality video!

That was excellent! Love to see some respect for Knux haha In particular I really liked the 3D perspective shots, and the black bars along the top and bottom of the screen (I don't know the correct term) were very stylish, reminds me of the ones used in that Pootis Engage Extreme meme that was floating around.

Look i respect knuckles but he gets beating by scrouge any day if anything this is just disrespecting scrouge who by the way defeated the freedom fighter which included knuckles,sonic,shadow and more and scrouge best them all in a 1v8 in his base

@@bonitafontenot7865 Cool, I've read the entire archie series and I'm aware. I assume you're also aware that Scourge has previously lost in a one on one to Sonic, and that Knuckles powers at points throughout the comics have far exceeded both of them before losing most of his chaos powers. My point is that very obviously this animation isn't meant to be some lore accurate canon event. It's just a fun animation. Nobody cares how "accurate" it is to the old comics that have since been retconned anyway.

Ok I just wanted to clarify so no one gets the wrong idea I'm happy that knuckles finally got his time to shine.

It's unusual to me that you gave Scourge power boost, because Scourge is Archie Sonic's doppelgänger and he doesn't have Game Sonic's moves from the Frontiers if only because Archie's comic book series was finished before its release to add them. Change: It's also nice to see you back.

Originally, i gave Scourge the Light Speed Dash, hence why he charged a spindash before using the Power-up. But I didn't want the fight to be obscured by a green aura and all (because that would make it harder to watch), so I shameless stole the Power Boost Ideia from Frontiers LOL. In the end, I started referencing attacks from Sonic Frontiers as well. So, in a sense, it's kidda of a mixture of the two Power-ups...

Nice win, Knuckles

I was glad that you showed up again with this animation. It was so good that I started rewatching some of the scenes frame by frame. I think this fight shows what a fight between knuckles and sonic would come down to. Knuckles is stronger, more durable, and more skilled. Scourge is faster and harder to predict. The entire fight was scourge trying to overwhelm knuckles with his speed and where him down with combos, All knuckles had to do was bide his time and wait for scourge to get cocky and then went in and oneshot him with a full power attack!

@@ranaadya1541 At the beginning of sonic 3 sonic was sneak attacked by knuckles while he was flying fast and was hit with an uppercut which knocked the emeralds out of him.

Man, I don't know if I love or hate the black lines I feel like you should've used them less, they really work on some parts, but not in others Also sometimes when they follow the characters it looks kinda weird

What? Thats not true at all. Scourge could definitely beat the Freedom fighters alone like Sonic could (and has in the FCBD issue 2007) but he has never beaten Shadow or Knuckles in his base form. Funnily enough, Sonic even implies in issue 191 that he and Knuckles alone could defeat Scourge and his SQ even despite the fact that he couldn’t do it with the FF beforehand. Which shows that characters like Knuckles and by extension Shadow are way stronger than all of the FF combined. At least according to Sonic
