Great video. Always love when kayakers keep the natural sound in their videos with music. Well done! Cheers!

I apologize for seeing so much out of order. But am I glad I didn't just pass this video by. It is SO enjoyable Bob! Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us. I'll get there one day but it will have to wait a wee while yet. I loved everything about your filming. I hope more people get to see your videos and encourage you to make even more. Thanks again. Get the tides right and the Corryvreckan no big issue, some of the "lesser" races and flows round that area can catch you out though,

The Corry was very tame, neap tides and perfect timing to cross, but 20 mins ether way and its a bit lively!!

Really nice, guys! I like the lack of drama (ironically usually in conditions that are rather tame accompanied by loud music). I have done many nice trips since retiring here in Oregon, the last being pre-COVID from Prince Rupert, BC (Canada) to Port Hardy on the open coast side, solo. COVID and aging companions knocked me off these trips temporarily, but hopefully I will be back in the saddle this summer as I am still in good paddle shape. You guys certainly wetted my appetite for more.

Mmm, i don't pay too much attention to the altitude on these Garmins to be honest, not sure if they are accurate on small altitude changes. I do use the speed and distance info while I'm paddling though, and its fun to see your trace when you get home

@@josephinebennington7247 ah but the tides races are so big in the area sometimes you can physically see a 2-3m level difference ahead of you.... not that I'm excepting that to register on the Garmin either😁

Good point. Going out in a low pressure, wind pushing the tide, Storm Surge with a Garmin could be interesting. And probably dangerous…so don’t.

Mitchel blades, made in the uk, great quality, nice to use, competitive price, fully adjustable with a join that doesn't wear or stick like some of the more widely used brands 😁

@@getwet501 Great, that sounds very interesting. Untill now I use "one of the well known English brands" and exactly like you say; the joint wears out and formed even a circular crack. And with nothing less than THREE of my previous paddles the blade broke off. Let's see if Mitchell ships to Spain. Thanks!
