The Scottish Premiership, known as the cinch Premiership for sponsorship reasons, is the top division of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL). Contested by 12 clubs, Rangers are the current league champions, having won the 2020-21 Scottish Premiership.
At the end of the season, 1st place team Qualification for the Champions League play-off round, 2nd place Qualification for the Champions League second qualifying round, 3rd place Qualification for the Europa Conference League third qualifying round and 4th place Qualification for the Europa Conference League second qualifying round. 12th place are Relegation to the Championship, 11th place to the play-offs. Heart of Midlothian and Dundee are Promoted from the 2020-21 Scottish Championship.
